Do anyone have their front wheel off and could give me a measurement?
When I got my new-to-me S2T, I removed the front brake caliper and found washers between the fork-mount and the caliper, which served to move the caliper inboard. I've just investigated the reason for them and found that the disc makes contact with the caliper on the inboard side without the washers. I suspect that the problem might be that the speedo drive spacer has been replaced with a wrong-sized washer, which would move the wheel (and attached brake disc) to the left when sitting on the bike, thus necessitating the washers on the caliper to also move it inboard.
So, if I can determine the correct thickness of the speedo drive spacer, I will measure mine and, if its not correct, try to obtain another. The speedo drive washer is labeled 3 on page 2-8 in the service manual.

There isn't any spacers between the speedo drive and the fork, the speedo drive is the spacer.

There's what I first thought was a thick washer between the speedo drive and the fork, shown in the service manual. Thinking about it, it must be a shouldered piece, otherwise the full torque on the axle would be applied to the speedo drive. But it is between the speedo drive and the fork. And looking at it as I tried to crop a scan of the page, I see that it is indeed a shouldered spacer. I better look harder in the garage. Although I would still like to know the dimensions in case I have to make one. Or would you have it in stock, Lance?

Not the part that's circled. That's something different. I apparently lack #3.

Well halle-fecking-lujah! I had a spare axle in the attic and it has the spacers on it. Problem solved. Thank god for my hoarding. Now its off to the pub for a Guiness breakfast. And lunch. And dinner. (Irish wife.)

All the correct parts are in the correct place... and the brake disc is still pretty close to rubbing on the inside of the groove in the caliper. So I took a look at my 95 and it also is not centred (disc to caliper) and I know its not been buggered with. WTF? Anyone care to take a look at theirs for me, please. It the inside lower section that I'm looking at. There's .080 clearance outboard and none inboard. I'm contemplating either shimming the wheel over or filing a bit off the caliper. Probably the latter.

What about shimming the brake caliper, If I remember correctly when I got my Braking brand disc it came with shims for the caliper.

Oops, I saw that you originally found the caliper shimmed.
