My 2001 M2 Cyclone was having a hesistation throttle problem when cracking the throttle wide open. So I put in a slightly bigger jet (0.032) and it was running a lot better. I started tuning the carb to fit the new jet when it sputted a few times, popped from the carb and died on the spot. I havent been able to get it started since.

I opened the air filter and it looked partially melted. I drained some fuel from the carb and it still isnt igniting. Should I take the entire carb apart again and clean it? Or did I royally something up? It was running near perfect (from how it was), and now... nothing.

I'm really not trying to bring it to a shop, unless I have to. I believe I am mechanically inclined enough for the most part to take on the challenge unless its now an engine issue.

Wow! Got a picture? (of the melting...)
Which jet did you replace? Main or Slow?

Jayvee, I'll post a picture tonight. In the meantime I replaced the pilot jet with a 0.032 from a 0.0295, and left the main jet untouched with a 0.72.
