new to the forum. incredibly impressed with all the knowledge and discussion.I am not much of mechanic but i make an effort to know what to do and the right way to get it done. just purchased a 97 M2 but i need a new rear rim. just curious if i am limited to the year/model for the rear rim or if there is any other compatibility within the model/brand? just trying to give myself the best chances of finding a replacement. thanks in advance

Any wheel from a tube frame model will work. The PM wheels are about a half inch wider than the cast ones, if that matters to you. You'll probably want to match the front.

I am working on swaping xb wheels onto 2000 m2. if I can figure out what pulley to use then I will have a spare 3 spoke rear rim.

Joe If you want to keep stock gearing on your Xb swap you will need this custom gear

The other option is welding up the old holes and remilling the XB pattern but the stock pulleys are junk metal and I would not risk it.

Any tuber wheel will work if you choise to go with a PM wheel they do have their own spacer. And no matter which wheel use new bearings!
