Hey guys. I found a new updated shock on eBay almost a year ago only to realize I needed the new mount as well. Well, I got the new mount and came to realize that the original bolts do not work with it? This is the one I bought: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17396-S.html

Al from American Sport Bike directed me to a site that sold fasteners, but I wasn't sure which ones to buy still. I tried getting bolts and nuts from Ace, but they do not have long enough ones.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I had to put a longer one on my M2 (from an X1) when I added the chin fairing to it.
I not at home, don't have access to my X1 parts manual, nor the old bolt, but can give you specs tomorrow, if nobody comes up with it sooner. One can buy them from places like McMaster. Sorry can't help sooner.

Try your local auto parts store normally they have longer bolts in stock then hardware stores at least around here they do. And Home Depot aswell.

2896Y SCREW, M12-1.75 x 55mm hex socket head, zinc.

You can find these in McMaster web site, or likely Fastenal. I bought mine from a HD dealer, several years ago.

I try and buy all the hardware I need from Fastenal, they have a website and if your lucky you can find an actual store, I happen to have one less than 10 miles from where I live.
