Has anyone done any experimenting with the fork oil?
I dumped out the Harley stuff (10W) and put in 225cc of Kal Gard 5W and the forks were actually supple.
I was worried about having too little oil so dumped in another 200cc per leg and it's better than it was stock but it's back to rattling me around.
I only weigh about 165, 170 with gear.
I wonder if 350cc/leg isn't the way to go.
Has anyone else messed around with this?
I know what/how the manual advises to set the oil level but it's just too stiff for the bumpy roads and my weight.

I just did mine with new seals about 400 mi ago with Maxima fork oil 15. Ea fork took about 14 oz to bring the level between the min and max. When I pull it out of the garage it has me thinking that the front tire is flat because its so soft. And I do have the setting set for solo soft. I have not tried it on solo std or solo firm yet.

Good news - for my repulsively rotund body (all 165 pounds of hairy, white lard) 300cc of 5 weight is as good as it'll get without replacing the springs with something lighter.
425cc was just beating the snot out of me which was really causing an unsightly mess on the inside of my face shield.
