2000 S3 front cylinder rocker box leaking. The idiot at the Harley parts counter had several different gasket for me to choose from? I asked what was the most recently suggested (ie upgraded) he didn't know/didn't care?? Should of told him what a poser he looks like in his Harley Bandanna!
Can someone offer some advice (part number). It appears to be a relatively easy fix? remove bolts and replace gasket. Anyone have the torque specs? Any suggestions would help.

This was the kit I installed in my 2000 s3 last fall. Kit comes with a few gaskets you will not use meant for the xb's.

I have an extra parts book for a 2000 S3 and part numbers are as follows
Lower gasket (below rockers) 16800-84
Lower cover gasket 17353-89
Upper cover gasket 17354-89
Inner cover gasket 17358-84A
Gaskets for under bolts 63858-49

It's nice to go to the dealer with a parts book and numbers. If you want this book, I'll let it go for $20 shipped.
Hope this helps

Patrick, the guys at Central Texas HD up in Round Rock are a little more in the know even though all the true Buellers have moved on. Or you could order from American Sport Bike.

Thank all of you for your help. I've heard that the HD shop in Round Rock is much better, but I hate driving through downtown Austin.

A bandanna is to hold your ears out of the way while you pull your skid_lid on and off.
