So I bought a new shock that had the mounting bracket and hardware removed from the packaging...I then ordered the new recall mounting bracket for it, but I then discovered that the hardware is different and the technical bulletin says it all should have come with new hardware...Does anyone know where I can get the new hardware?

I just can't believe it is so hard to find. I have searched everywhere and have come up with no results so far.

I looked and didnt find it, i swear i have it though. ill keep looking. I bought an install kit off ebay a while back and then ended up selling the mount and kept the hardware.

If you are talking about the front and rear allen bolts they recommend replacing when you install/reinstall the shock?

I don't see them in the suspension section on A.S.B. but I'll bet if you ask on his thread here, e-mail, or call Al will get them if he's able.

The updated H/W should be called out in the parts manual for the newer year X1 that already had the upgraded shock. You just need to consult the parts manual for a 2002 X1. The back of the parts manual has all of the H/W sizes and types for the part numbers that are listed with the diagrams. Then just go to the local H/W store and get what you need. Maybe someone here can look that up for you or you can consult the Russian parts manuals on-line.

The updated hardware is shown in the technical bulletin, but there are no part numbers for it. Does anyone know what size it is so I can try and find some graded hardware from a hardware store?

2001 x1 part number is 2896y,for bolt, 7701y for locknut, and 5903y for the washers, if that helps at all.
