If I put a M2L shock mounting bracket on my 99 S3, how much would it lower the rear end?

The M2L had a shorter rear shock, seat, front fork assy., and kickstand compared to the standard M2 from 2000-2002. M2L was only 2001 and 2002. I think 99-00 were the same also. 2000 to 2001 M2's elect. and other parts changed also

Oh I should clarifiy. M2 and M2L had the same bracket in 2001 and 2002. Part #K0407.01A1. Only the shock changed. In 2000 the mount part # was K0407.8H. But of course they did have the upgrade with the reservoir.

My '99 has the old front bracket; only the new short shock is still sold. I made a lengthening hat for the shock, and while I was at it, I made it 1/2" longer to lower the bike by 1".
