Ok, here's my issue, I noticed that the clutch lever disengages my clutch with about a quarter of an inch left in the lever travel, basically right at the bar.

I went through the following steps to make sure the clutch was set up properly:

primary fluid checked ok
primary chain within tolerances ok
set the clutch with 1/4 turn off lightly bottomed ok
set the slack in the cable at the lever with 1/16 inch gap.

Clutch still disengages almost on the bars, when it is disengaged, it doesn't drag and dropping into 1st is pretty clean and finding neutral is easy and positive.

What am I missin here?
