Sounds like it's starving for fuel. Did you clean out the carb?

Was there another thread regarding your bike's issues?

+1 on fuel not getting past the intake valves.

Filter?
Junk in tank blocking line?

S1's don't have a fuel filter, unless you're talking about the plastic screen in the tank.

Suggest removing the petcock and inspecting the screen, but also clean up the petcock too while you're at it. Might also replace your fuel tank breather line too make sure your fuel is flowing freely(not creating vacuum in the tank).

Clean your idle jet.

Either that, or let it warm up longer : )

im now a happy camper!!! found it to be the gas tank breather valve...it was clogged or something, wouldnt let the tank breathe...replaced it(without the ball) with one from a spare tank i have...fired it up, cracked the throttle, and it roared...it does pop every now and then when i let off the throttle, but i believe it to be normal...Right? thanx again BADWEBBERS!!!
