does anyone think it would be a problem if we scanned Battle2win and posted some issues here?
legally, im not sure if copyright law covers a defunct magazine of if reg kittrelle and the gang would even mind.
ive got quite a few issues, (have to dig, put in order, and count em up to see how many)
i also have the american thunderbike clubs weather report from the volume 1 issue 1 through vol 4 issue 1. 1998-2001
anyone have any ideas?

I'm not a copyright attorney, so I'm for it.

Sounds like a great idea to me.

I'd suggest that you contact Reg and Blake and ask them if they have a problem with it.

Precisely what I was thinking . . . I doubt Reg would have a problem but it would certainly be a nice courtesy to extend.

The was such a great time and such a great magazine . . . Reg has an amazing talent.

If they are stored away and you aren't willing to unearth them, why bother announcing ownership?

Just sayin

Jason,
Sounds like a good idea to make it a group effort.
I have a pretty good selection so I can help.
I think we should come up with a common format though.
Obviously PDF format but we should decide on the scanning format. DPI, etc..

As for format, when I was scanning for the “exhaust shootout” thread (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/622058.html?1302312301), I found that .jpg photo format preserved pages with imbedded text on photos much better than .pdf files. Photo jpg files are also easier to share via Photobucket too.

I always thought I had more issues than I do, but this is what I have to offer.

Vol.1 Issue 1 (1996)
Vol.1 Issue 2 (1996)

Vol.1 Issue 4 (1997)

Vol.2 Issue 1 (1998)
Vol.2 Issue 2 (1998)
Vol.2 Issue 3 (1998)

Vol.2 Issue 4 (1999)
Vol.3 Issue 1 (1999)
Vol.3 Issue 2 (1999)

Vol.3 Issue 3 (2000)
Vol.3 Issue 4 (2000)
Vol.4 Issue 1 (2000)

Let me know and I’ll start scanning.

Did the scanning project ever come to fruition? I was going through an old box of magazines yesterday and found all the issues except Vol 1 Issue 1. I do have Issues 14 and 15 from 2002 also, which were newspaper size. 10.5" X 14.5".

I got the OK to scan and post the magazines but haven't had the time to scan them. My scanner went south and I didn't replace it.
I still mean to do it eventually but if someone else has the resources, please feel free to scan away...
I'm sure I can make room on my site for the files...
