what is anti-clockwise.....
you mean counter-clockwise....

haven't checked mine....but any set of adjustables I have had are pretty much righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.

While we're on the topic...

On a standard X1 shock the rebound is on the remote reservoir, compression is at the base of the shock (closest to the swingarm), ie it's the opposite to anything else which makes sense.

I now have a Penske and if I recall correctly the generic Penske manual (which I can't find) says compression is on the remote reservoir.

Am I right to assume the adjusters are really the same as the OEM Showa shock?

cheers,
chili

The ad for the Penske shock on Americansportbike says that the rebound is on the remote and the compression is on the shock body.

Regardless of where the screw is for each setting, think "volume knob". Up = clockwise, down = counterclock. Or, in owners manual terms - "max" = clockwise, "min" = counterclock.

Thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure before I start adjusting everything.

anti-clockwise is correct, so it counter-clockwise. Depends on what part of the world you're in.

On my X1 rebound adjustment is on the resevoir, and compression is on the shock. Pretty sure all late model tubers are the same...

I meant late model, as that's what my X1 is.
