I was riding my bike today on the 4 lane and I was doing about 80 85 mph for a solid 10 or 12 miles. I didnt let off the whole time. Then I came upto some traffic and let off the throttle and as soon as I did the bike back fired pretty hard and loud. Is this a problem, should I be worried. I recently removed a power commander from the bike, and havent reset my TPS yet. I appreciate any info anyone may offer. Thanks, Matt Tully

Could be the beginning of an intake seal leak! Easy job but tricky the first time! When i first found badweb. I was informed you must change the intake seals every 2 yrs.
But i don't know for sure.

BUELLers:

You should change the SEAL,intake manifold PN 26995-86B every TWO YEARS if it is an everyday ride ...

Every FOUR YEARS if you have a COOLING FAN
KIT(S3/M2 PN Z0008.M or X1 PN Z0008.KA which have the same parts in the kit) ...

Head "HEAT" does a number on these seals ...

MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!!

when my x1 was backfiring bad it was due to a crack in the header. Take a look at that.
