I was wondering if anyone knows of any free or cheap mods for cyclones.

So far the only one I have seen is to gut the bread box and put a K&N filter in it. Has anyone done this?

Or does anyone know of any way to build a new air intake on the cheap?

Or any other mods in general.

Joltron:

This is PRODUCT IMPROVEMENTS on OEM Parts only ...

Get your jetting right(the M2 needle is the best) ...

Radius the slide and open the slide hole a little ...

Remove the ACC. Pump and plug the spray nozzel hole(JB WELD) ...

Set your IGN. Timing correctly ...

Get a TACH. to set your idle with and a SHIFT LITE(set at 6800 RPM) to shift with ...

IMHO the OEM M2 Cams are the best for where you ride every day and they do have a lot of "GRUNT" ...

Plug(JB WELD) the three holes in the Snorkel an put a K&N RC-3680 and put the Air Box Cover back on so you can ride in the rain ...

An outlet on the right rear of muffler which does not get loud until you get on it and IMHO performs just as good as the BIG $$$.$$ aftermarket mufflers ...

Wrap exhaust header(you can paint the heat wrap, mine is RED) ...

Adjust the Drive Belt and Primary Chain correctly ...

Torque your axle nuts correctly ...

If you want something explained in more detail that "i" have mentioned, can do that ...

Have pictures of some of the "CHEAP MODS." and they are yours if you e-mail me ...

MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!!

Did you drill a hole? Where? How big? Pic on this?

Thanks!

You can cut some plastic off the license plate bracket to make your own version of the 'Tail Tidy' thing. I took off the heat shield, just for looks.
And painted the front sprocket cover to match the engine, I think it looks a little better, that was cheap.
One can polish the exhaust header, that's almost all labor.
One of the most important modifications, for me, were the stainless braided brake lines, front AND rear. Not exactly cheap, but for the money, one of the most valuable changes.
