Ok i just got a call from terry at JTS performance and he gave me the magic numbers the max rwhp is 109.8 rwh torque max 92.6 @ 3200 rpm rwh torque is at 88 ft lbs after 3200 rpm the torque curve is totally flat and goes through the rpm range at 90 ft lbs peaking at 92.6 So if you take the rear wheel horse power and times it by 15% the hp at the crank is about 126.5 hp |

Oh i forgot i am having a xb oil pump installed also. Now i need a works shock and another tuber....But i really want an xb12s Also the muller power clutch must now be removed. On the dyno with the new ponies the clutch would slip in 5th under max power! So when the bike comes back to Utah it is getting a new clutch upgrade. I am going with terry's recommendation of the 2 Kevlar plate's and one metal and pulling out the Muller power clutch. |

That max hp is coming in 5200-5500 rpm range, It is mostly due to the lighter valve train components. Note: also the rev limiter has been raised 150 rpm so it now goes to 6900 max. Low end fuel curve was also remapped to smooth the idle out. At low end 3000 rpm range, rwhp is 105.6. And all of this is roll on dyno tuning no shifting gears during the runs! |

Here is what i got. NRHS 1250 kit hurricane pistons, clips, rings. Squish band is set at *20* 10:5:1 compression NRHS iron lined aluminum cylinders, Highlighted fins. XL1200 heads with the same porting as the xb heads, Then further porting to a stage 2 and then smaller valves 7mm stainless w\Oversized heads and single beehive xb springs. chrome push rod tubes and billet base's and seals. Also fixed length custom push rods .536 Screaming eagle cams and stock lifters Force winder intake w\iat sensor mounting in the filter. Stock header and supertrap exhaust can with 12 disks and an open end cap. Race ECM (Remapped) All of the motor build was done by NRHS. All of the dyno tuning and custom mapping was done by JTS performance. If you are doing a motor build I would highly recommend JTS performance. If you can afford to get it to there shop DO IT! If you build it yourself Call JTS performance they have some base maps and can tune your ECM! |

UPDATE: The bike is almost done now the oil pump is just about here and terry is finishing one area of the dyno. Low end rpm is done, WOT is done, Closed loop is done and mid range is done. There is one area from closed loop to open loop that is causing a little problem but it should be done today! Keep watching for the finished update! |

Hello Preybird1, I´m really sorry to say so but I do have some doubt regarding Your dyno numbers. Here´s why: 1.You say max. power is 109.8 at the wheel in the 5200 - 5500 rpm range. 2.You say at 3000 rpm Your power is 105.6 at the wheel 3. You say that torque is 88 ftlbs. at 3200 rpm at the wheel 4. You say that average torque is around 90 ftlbs over the rpm range at the wheel Now here is what I say: 1. I really want to see a dyno curve with 105.6 hp at 3000 rpm and 109.8 in the 5200 to 5500 rpm range. That must be a real funny graph. 2. 105.6 hp at 3000 rpm would result in 184.87 ftlbs of torque. Not really what You have. 3. 88 ftlbs at 3200 rpm results in 53.62 hp. You said hp was in the 100+ range in that area. 4.Assuming average 90 ftlbs over the rpm range results in about 94 hp at 5500 rpm which is really less than Your 109.8 I´m really sorry to write these lines but from all my experience I know that a tuned 1250 engine probably does not produce the numbers that You give. I have to get it from terry, When he called me these are the numbers i got, But he talks so fast it was hard to write it all down as he was telling me. I hope i didn't get anything mixed up! And when i get the bike back i should get the info printed up for me~ |

WOW!!! that is a screamer. Stock crank and rod make me worry after 7000rpm. I would like to see the low end torque under 3500. |

Yeah i was just jotting the numbers as fast as he was speaking so i may have messed up. The oil pump finally got there and that went in today and terry was doing the finishing touches so it should be ready to ship back tomorrow i hope. It was a bit spendy $3900 and if you add the shipping round trip $720 so it was $4620. It would have been cheaper but i needed new cylinders and heads. |

I think he meant about going stage III. You can stage III your stock thunderstorm heads and bore/hone your stock cylinders for forged 1212cc pistons if you desire and come up within 10 hp. |

You can use stock heads with the 1250 kit. 1250 kits only come with cylinders, pistons, rings, and gaskets. Heads are not included typically. |

Good news and bad news update: the good news is the bike is done, and its going to be dropped of at the Sacramento terminal on tuesday. The bad news is the rear shock crapped out and the voltage regulator is going out. I had to order a works shock to be built and it will be drop shipped to me here in utah in 3 weeks. I will have a voltage regulator waiting. |

Update: The bike is on its way back finally. And the works shock is paid for and being built. The voltage regulator is ordered. I talked to terry and he snapped some pics of the bike at his shop, a pic of the bike on the dyno and a pic of the max rwhp 112, Off my bikes dyno run. Also he printed the dyno run for me. I am just waiting for him to e-mail the info and the pictures to me. |
