Hey all,
I purchased a Buell race exhaust system and ECM for my 99 M2. In the paper work for the ECM, it says you need to get the TPS re zeroed. I called Appleton Harley and was told by the service Dept that they never heard of that. What exactly needs to be done? Thanks, Frank.

You don't need to set the TPS offset on your M2...it doesn't have one. Only the DDFI bikes have those. You are blessed/cursed (depending on your point of view) with a carburetor.

You may want to verify that you have the correct ECM for your bike. The M2 ECM is not really an ECM, it's an ignition module. If the instructions say to reset the TPS,you may have the wrong one.

you got the generic set of intructuions that come with the race exhaust... they say to reset the TPS becuase ORIGINALLY it was sold as a KIT with the RACE ECM and air box mods.

in other words... pay no attention to it... because your M2 doesn't have an ECM at all... just an ignitoon box that doesn't even have a TPS. : D

You will most likely need to rejet to avoid a lean condition. I don't know the sizes off the top of my head.
