I see a header and can on ebay from a damaged '01 M2. The link is, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&item=370149374264&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3 AIT&viewitem=, Item # 370149374264. Is that the later Buell can believed to have been made by supertrapp?? I'm not interested in the blue header, I'm looking for a slip-on for my '00 M2 and would like to find a used Borla or Supertrapp as I just don't have the cash right now for a new one.
Thanks for any info you can share and I call dibs on this one!

I've been watching this one since it was listed...I was wondering if anyone would actually pay that money for a banged up exhaust...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the Supertrapp, but Buell Branded Race Muffler...Though I think I picked up a new one for like $150 with shipping.

If you get a chance, call SouthSide HD/Buell in Indianapolis, IN and ask about the Borla they have.

I can't remember what they were asking, but it was brand new.

BTW, I haven't forgotten about your email..=)

Thanks for the info and letting me know you received the email.

It is still the dead of winter here but I would like to get everything set up for spring. Supertrapp is my preference but I will try Southside as the Borla also has a good rep.

Edit; I called Southside and the Borla has been sold.

LOL, I'm stocking up on Exhausts and hoarding them!

I don't plan on getting rid of this bike, and someday they'll stop making/finding parts for it!

that is a supertrapp from what i see. and if you do get a supertrapp, you don't want the old two piece. the one on the fleabay site was the newer one piece with the cone support version. i really like it.

I have two complete extra body sets and a few other parts so that my M2 will be an M2 as long as I own AND RIDE it.

That ebay pipe looks like it came off an X1W, being blue with an 02 sensor, maybe plugged off to run on a Cyclone.

That vendor has been cutting up a lot of fine-running buells lately and he doesn't seem to know much about the parts... except that he doesn't sell them cheap.

I don't want to drag up another "which exhaust" discussion but I'm happy with the VnH can on my bike, I repack it every couple years with a fiberglass sheet available at most dirt bike shops for 6 bucks, a little bailing wire and about an hour's work. Great sound, great performance and as long as you don't bang it on rocks or curbs it's a tough unit.

I've had Supertrapps before and they've fallen apart, but I probably didn't have the good one. Just my .01

I would also be leery of that ebay pipe, looks like some pretty good road rash. Once a 2-into-1 gets bent it doesn't line up right at the head, which puts strain on the studs.

Here's the deal with that seller...I called them today, and they said that they will not split up the package. They also said once their auctions end and no one buys it, they put it in their eBay store at the price it didn't sell for, in this case it will be Buy It Now for $149.95...what a bunch of douche canoes.

I had thought of making a low offer on just the can after the auction ended but I guess that won't work. Oh well, I'll keep looking or wait for Brinnutz to sell me his for $100!
