I want to do some clean and simple LED brake/tail light on my S1. Please post pictures if you have something other than stock. Thanks

Skntpig, here is my M2 tail with the stock tailight redone to incorporate it into my Airtech Manta tail section. Brighter 35 watt bulb is plenty bright.

Billet alloy with 20 super bright LED's. I 'made' the carbon fibre backing from a broken Pro Race Series chin spoiler.

What's great about this light is I bought it off eBay from a bloke in the US. It wasn't Buell specific but the angle it's been made to fit is perfect for the S1W.

Next year I intend to get rid of the Joker turn signals. They're not very bright. They'd be great if they had LED's in them. I bought some Kellerman's for the front end, but then changed my mind and put the new Oberon's on the front, which look great. So I was just using up the Kellerman's by putting them on the rear, but they should look good on there too.

The cool thing about these Oberon's is they light up on the front and rear sides too.

Oberon

Oberon also make these to combine with a bar end or bar end and mirror.

Here's the bar end Oberon.

Bob,
Sweet ride. I like the look but I want to stay with the stock rear.

Rocket,
Very nice, clean, custom and classy. I like the mirrors/signals. I will probably go to that once my bicycle mirror breaks. Keep the rear light ideas coming guys. Thanks for the input.

I haven't been able to get a photo of it yet, but on my S2 I run the stock setup. If you're familiar with the S2 light, there are three horizontal "bars" cut into the lens. The bottom 2 are lit by the factory bulbs. The top one is dark. I put a pair of 3-LED strips in the top bar, and wired them to a flasher so that when I hit the brakes I not only light up the stock brakelight, but get a "wig-wag" above it to draw attention. I used Lumiled LEDs and they're actually brighter than the stock bulbs. I'll see if I can get a good photo of it, but it keeps weirding out my camera...

My S1W (ice white pearl) has a tag relocate kit, an LED bulb, and Clear Alternatives clear lens. Simple, but functional and it gets rid of that one, big red spot on the bike. My signals are small simulated CF that I gutted and put LEDs in - red in back, amber in front, clear lenses when off. That, I should be able to get pics of : )

I thought about putting an LED in the Joker signals, but there isn't a lot of room in there. New stuff is coming out so fast these days, and to be honest Oberon and Kellerman are hard to beat, so it starts getting tough to make a choice when there's so much to choose from.

Brian
Just made an aluminium plate for the tags and attached to tail light. Then clear taillight lens and mini turn signals with clear lens. Still not happy with the belt guard. Every time I breakout the masking tap and pen, something always seems to come up elsewhere.

Both the pic's are Oberon stuff, and yes they are alloy housing. They also use stainless steel fasteners. In fact, Oberon make a point of offering high quality metals or whatever in all their products. Oberon are all bikers too. And yes the LED's are very bright.

I'm sorry, being an Englishman in Yorkshire I can't say how much these items are in the US. I don't think Oberon have an outlet in the US either.

Oberon website has a lot of info on their products, and UK prices. Major cards and Paypal, Oberon will ship worldwide. Hope this helps.

Man, they really do make quality gear. I just saw their latest bar end style mirror now you made me look at their website. Time for a change me thinks, lol.

Those are certainly impressive..

What do you think of the bar end signal / mirror combo?

I like all the combo's they do. The mirrors do work too - as bar ends go - but I do find their use a little limited in some scenarios. I'm not the only person I know that has them.

I've just got around to buying the ISR lever and cylinder set-up, and I'm trying to retain the original Buell mirrors by using the ISR lever clamps that come with a screw thread for mirror attachment. However, ISR also do the clamps with some very neat switches in them, so I'm considering junking the original fit switch gear in favour of the ISR switch clamps.

ISR

Trouble is, ISR don't make the switch clamp with mirror attachment too. I'm negotiating with ISR to make me some specially. Fingers crossed, otherwise I might have to sacrifice the switchgear or the mirrors. In which case it might be the switch gear as riding in a gaggle of bikes when all dicing at speed without normal mirrors is not good if you like to know who's where behind you. Bar ends are just too small and not easily usable for a quick head movement due to their lower down arrangement.

Has anyone done an 03-04 CBR600 light back there?
