so it seems i'm losing oil from under the fill cap.no it's not to full.
the cap is popped up and i don't know why.
just replaced the oiltank with a brand new one.

There is a great deal of info about this strewn around the BadWeB.

You'll need to spend time trawling through the archives to get a handle on it. There was a thread on the quick board about this just a few weeks ago. To my knowledge, that was the most recent of many threads on the matter. There are some that go way back years!

pressure in oil tank = crankcase pressure not venting. Check your vent hoses/breathers.

Unfortunately there are in my experience circumstances where this problem won't go away. I'm of the opinion a breather modification is necessary above and beyond the stock design.
