If Colt is going to refuse to sell AR15s to taxpayers, while continuing to sell them to police and other govt agencies at taxpayers' expense, then taxpayers must terminate existing contracts with Colt, and refuse any further contract with Colt unless/until they end their little coup against our unalienable rights.

Rick,

>>> We make our own meanings, based on our own experiences, challenges, and the value systems we've established through a lifetime of practical application.

That indeed is the truth of how many people believe and behave, but is it the whole truth of reality?

Because if that's all there is, then aren't Beto's values just as valid as yours?

If our moral values are all just based on personal opinion and/or societal proclivity, what if anything may be said to be truly objectively wrong?

For example: If society agrees that torturing and dismembering babies is okay, who's to say otherwise?

Babies can't vote or even argue their objections. How convenient for those seeking to legalize their murder.

Bobby Fake Hispanic O'Rourke said last year he wasn't going to take your AR. This year he says he will, but not your hunting rifle. He lied both times.

Handgun Control Inc., Now renamed the Brady campaign to exploit a crippled guy, spelled it out years ago. It's Alinsky techniques. Pick on one gun type. Give it a scary name. Whip the public into a frenzy. Get it banned. Next.

Name a gun, I probably remember the scary name chosen back in the 1970s. That is subject to change. It was "Assault Weapon" for years, a made up scary name with zero actual meaning. Now it's "weapon of war", ditto.

There are zero intentions to just take ARs, then stop. That's a bald faced lie.

It's a constant source of amazement to me.

Here is their book, the bible a group uses to guide them in their quest for power. Islamofascism, Socialism, Gun Rights Deniers, they all have a book, a plan, spelled out, available for all to read, and they openly discuss it.

They all have the same ultimate goal. Different groups all working so their group wins. The goal is the same. They will be the Masters, everyone else will be their slaves.

The only difference is the level of patience they exhibit, since it can't happen overnight.

The Islamofascists are playing the long game. Once they become a majority, then it goes fast.

Elizabeth Warren seems to think once she wins the General Election, she can issue executive orders and it's over. That's really a lie to con voters, she's not that stupid, but some of her supporters are.

Because a rational human being understands right and wrong without convoluted excuses for normalizing theft, barbarism, and death. The only people with an excuse are those with impaired brains.

Anyone that can rationalize killing unborn humans cannot rationally place much value in human life...and therefore cannot hold their own in very high esteem.

Value systems should be built upon universal truths not arbitrary reasoning and convenient truths.

I'm going to do a Kickstarter to finance my prototype exploding chainsaw laser shark launcher. Anyone interested? ; )

Platinum level customers will get a free trillion round magazine. Gold level gets rainbow lasers. and Silver gets the Orgone recharging stations free.

Set it up with a timecube sight and a compass on the stock.
Only then will I put my hard earned money down.

I mean who really needs a trillion round magazine? We need to limit the capacity to 200billion.

Good suggestions! The compass will be easy to install on the holographic stock. Magazine capacity uses irrational numbers so the trillion figure is hyperbole.

Ditto, except I'd need artificially lowered Despot approved magazines, and he forced to only load 7 rounds. 7 in a 10 capable.

The wider, less recoil focusing grip isn't a bad thing.

I did have a Deputy tell me, "just make sure it's a righteous shoot, & you only put 7 holes in him, & we won't care."

7 in an *11* capable.

I'm amazed by the physics of that...need to see and handle one.

Just load 3; then a dummy/practice round; then 7; then one in the pipe. Fire 7+1, hit the dummy, rack the slide, and fire the other 3. Call it a "reload". Witnesses will say "yeah, he stopped shooting for a second and did something, so he must have loaded a new magazine".

Here in the PRM, I guess technically I'd have to load my dummy round first - we've got a max-10 law here.

The arbitrary magazine limits are quite arbitrary.

It's pretty much determined by whatever they can get away with, and tends to lead people to carry small, flat guns, often of larger bore.

In the case of rifles you may lose your conspicuously protruding grip and bayonet lug and are forced to carry more magazines.

Ultimately, it's all dumb.

Just like the proposed "weapon of war" ban, which focuses on things like threaded barrels, optics/mounts, and...WEIGHT, as reasons to "ban" a weapon.

Arbitrary, and stupid. Oh...and pointless.

Not pointless. Deliberately deceptive Alinsky Strategy.

In New York we are arbitrarily and unconstitutionally limited to 7 rounds. The initial legislation written by then Mayor Bloomberg staffers was subsequently modified to allow 10 round magazines. ( possibly to avoid banning 10/22s, for now ) But you can still load only 7. The Act also didn't have exceptions for police, which meant every cop in New York was a felon. ( yes they changed that later )

I won't argue technical facts with you, since you are probably right, and it just doesn't matter anymore.

You know they are lying, they know they are lying, and they won't stop until they win.

They won't stop then either.

Until they piss off the wrong people, and they get stopped.

With extreme prejudice.

And I don't think that's an "if"...only a "when".

But I concur - there IS a point to the limitations, but it isn't "public safety". Not by a long shot.

One editorial on the subject ( forgot where, darn it ) specifically mentioned the things no smart person says on the internet. ( smart? cautious? )

That is it's not going to be people shooting at tanks with their pheasant gun. It's going to be assassinations and kidnapping of family members of Congress & Generals, and other unmentionable, illegal, immoral, and desperate very personal things.

And I know from family history about the backlash the civilian population feels, gets, about Resistance fighters. In Norway, the German occupying forces practiced Decimation, Roman style against a village when they lost troops to the Resistance. Haul the men out in a row in the street, and pull 1 in 10 out to be shot. Do that a few times and that's no longer a village that dares to hide you or not inform on your movements. A Resistance has a real hard time in hostile populations. And the Propaganda has an effect. Especially on Children.

Today, the Leftist school system sporadically asks the children to inform on their parents if they have guns. ( seriously ) You already know that Leftist local political leaders, see San Francisco, issue edicts against the NRA, and you'll never see CNN report on the Eddie Eagle program in other than horrified tones and accusations of child abuse. In the event of violent resistance to violent oppressive tyrants, that is just going to multiply. Children will be told to report their parents and any suspicious activity on Sesame Street, in schools, and anywhere else the Bad Guys don't think their parents are watching. Story time with the Drag Queen, at the Library, for example. The News will be spinning furiously 24/7 to get people to betray relatives and friends. And reprisals away from a compliant media are not out of the question.

Messy is such an understatement.

No sane person wants to go there. Heck, I don't want to go there! I'm sure you don't either. But AOC & & her Squad? Half of them actively support terrorist organizations, and are fracking Eager to go here.

Daily. In general, those things you wouldn't want done to you, you generally do not want to do to others. Anything involving lies, deceit, manipulation, wrongful death, theft, extortion, rape, incest, etc. We generally know what's right or wrong by our own aversion to getting screwed over and/or killed.

Is there a rule to the soft core tyranny of the nanny state?.

Sure! Power. Dependence is servitude.

What you are saying is a sane inversion? Of

the biblical rule of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12).
I

Don't do to others as you would have them refrain from doing to you.

Except for masochists, that's a reasonable virtue.

Truth is objective reality. Scientific method. Reproducible results. Facts are facts.

But I'm male. I don't integrate feelings well into my world view, I see them as separate. Relationships between people, animals, are more complex than simple facts. But if the facts are not true, then any overlay of emotion is also invalid.

Someone may indeed feel Some strong emotion based on false assumptions, like the abused, mentally disabled Greta, and it's considered mean to call her feelings "invalid". But they are based on lies told her over a short & unhappy lifetime. Very real emotions, just fracking wrong. It's not "her truth", it's her affliction.

And the phrase "a higher truth" is usually used as cover for lying. Example, Dan Rather & the fake memo created as a weapon against Bush the Younger.

Occasionally the phrase is used properly in religious/cosmological discussions. There is much we don't understand about the universe.

And it is ego that makes some think they understand the mind of Qetesh. Or any other god. ( yes, I've been binging Stargate SG1, big Claudia Black fan )
