I have found a "murse" in OD green. Any thoughts about the 5.11 PUSH 6L bag?

My mom had one of those OPs.
She found me holding it when I was 3.
It was gone the next day.

No more firearms in the house until I turned 11 and got a .22 single shot from Sears.
Still have it.

There were no firearms in my house as my dad's first wife committed suicide with his shotgun. We trained with airguns, which is actually a great way to get the fundamentals down. I still own five airguns, from a bb gun blaster to a precision "adult" air rifle.

My first rifle was a stainless 10/22 from Walmart when I was eighteen.

Dad's OP spent from 1976 until...oh...2007?...buried in his sock drawer. Zero rust, but good LAWD did it take a gallon of Hoppe's No. 9 to get it cleaned up and lubed. I couldn't even see down the 4" barrel, it was so full of lint!

I think every night for a month, I'd strip it, clean it (again), lube it (again), wipe it down, reassemble, and dry fire a few times to spin the workings. Locked it up n the safe for the day, repeated the next night. Trigger pull finally reduced from about 1,800 lbs down to normal....

Still have his original Colt cleaning kit, the Colt box, the business card for the place in Korea who hand-carved his (monogrammed!) ivory grips...a couple boxes of ammo from the '50s...and 3 boxes of Winchester from '76 when he last had it at the range, to celebrate our Bicentennial.

Great.

Then we can ban immigrant-sanctuary laws as well.

Difference being, of course, that the right to own and bear arms is IN THE CONSTITUTION.

Funny how the law of the land can be ignored and arbitrary laws are to be enforced in select ("liberal") cities and states.

Took a pic of the VP9 and P80 Glock together. The VP9 looks huge in comparison, especially with the light/laser underneath it.

That laser/tac light is HUGE.

Granted, only a laser, but they also make a tac version that's not much larger...

Yeah, but it uses two CR123's and has lasted twelve years under a lightweight forty until now.

I actually have a holster inbound that'll hold the combo.

That "instant-on" thing have a magnet in the holster or something?
Or is it a tilt-switch type of thing?

Magnet switch. There's a button about the size of a 2032 battery in the holster. There's also a master power button on the laser itself - off, solid-on, and strobe. I leave it on strobe and keep it holstered even in the safe.

It came with a soft IWB which works well enough, but re-holstering is a bear and it doesn't keep the grip rotated to the body very well. It's passable for appendix, though, in a pinch. My Alien Gear Tuck, though? SOOOOOOO nice...they make one with the ECR button in it, it has really nice cant/height adjustments with the two clasp setup, and I solved the universal "complaint" with some Buell knowledge - people said the screws that hold the shell to the leather, and the clips to the leather, can back out over time.

Funny...I have this stuff called "loctite" on all my workbenches...once I decided on my cant, height, and shell tension...I simply added a drop to each screw and nothing has moved since!

CNN lies again to take your guns & rights.

This idea of a confiscation list, aka "registration", will not go away. It's your duty to civil rights and freedoms not to register.

Expect payments to informants. Not just your neighbors, your children will be indoctrinated and told to inform on their parents. It's Common Core. That indoctrination is already underway. Initially it's children being told not to tell their parents about sexual deviant education programs.

The second that citizen rights to private sales and gifts destruction bills pass, the teachers will continue inform on the parents programs and everything goes into a central database, which is illegal for parents to access.

But not industry, teachers, and Federal Secret Police. And probably Jeff Bezos.

The thing about gun control is that in the most gun controlled countries and areas the answer to "gun crime" and "gun safety" or whatever name they want to label the attack on your individual rights, is more of the same.

Thought & prayer aren't her strong suits.

Or empathy. Human kindness. Respect for others.

To be fair, she pretty obviously was taught that God is Dead. That the State is Holy, and nothing else.

That's why she thinks it proper to take your property, without paying for it, or giving you any choice.

Consider the mental illness that has someone absolutely convinced that it is Right & Proper to steal from you.

Although, to be fair, Sandy may never have thought through what the results of ordering the theft of your property might be. Or considered anyone might not instantly comply with her demands.

It's hard to tell if she has no concept of right & wrong, or if she's just evil on purpose.

Sandy the bar tender. Was she even a good bar tender? Did she keep from running out of ice. Did she care enough to cut someone off for their safety or only when they became obnoxious to her. I am beginning to think she was probably a bad bar tender.

I just caught up on the roughly 100 videos from C&Rsenal on Great War guns. More to come, I just hit the psychic jarring stop of binge watching, and have to wait for more : )

https://m.youtube.com/channel/UClq1dvO44aNovUUy0Si SDOQ

What I find interesting is what this series has reinforced in my preferences. Example, the U.S. Model of 1917 .30-06 Enfield, is the pinnacle of bolt action combat rifles. Prejudice Confirmed.

And where it has changed my mind. Example, I now like en bloc clips. The Mannlicher system, as used in the Garand, was not favored by me before, but I now like it more than the Mauser stripper clip system.

Some of that last attitude change may be from shooting a few Mosin-Nagants including one I gave as a gift, in the box from Gander mountain, encased in Ruskie cosmoline.

Which I then got back, with a request to clean it & prep it for use. Ah, relatives. I do admit, but not to them, that there was a gag gift element to giving a Ruskie goo embedded rifle to the person I did. As in "here's a gift you have to work for to use, (sinister chuckle)" .

Yeah, that backfired on me. : )

A neighbor gave me a vintage pre-64 J.C. Higgins 22lr for cleaning his SMLE MKII years ago. It needs as much in parts as it would be worth complete...so has been collecting dust.

For a century, semi auto fire arms have been available to civilians. For 80 odd years they've been used by militaries.

Thus civilian use is older. And not a problem until just recently, when the Democrat Party began to boo God, and embrace socialism, the most murderous religion on Earth.

The accused in the Christchurch killings is a fan of the Maoist dictatorship.

Thus, the problem isn't century old technology, it's radical leftism. The very same people who want to violate your rights and limit your technology, as slave owners do, and always have.

They are the reason for mass murder suicides. And they exploit the problem they caused to enslave you.

No, hell no, and screw that.
