The current Democrat Bill would mean having a child means you can't be jailed. It makes no distinction between criminal trespassers and domestic criminals.

Read the actual wording of the Trump executive order on the Child Con. It insists on the court approval to be implemented. No illegal order! It gives everything asked for, but nothing the Dems want, ( they want open borders, where and who they think will vote D )

And it almost certainly won't be approved by the leftist activist Judge whose ruling has to be overturned.

You'd think Donald is baiting them.

But America's greatest foe is the media.

They have privilege to fulfill their responsibility to society. To report the sins of the government, and reveal the truth about the world.

We should sue for malpractice.

It's the same reason police must be held to a higher standard. We grant them power, they must show responsibility.

Anyone ever heard of the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect? I'd never heard of it before today. The name was coined by author Michael Crichton:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gell-Mann_amnesia_ef fect

The background for Crichton's observation is something that occurred to me many years ago. If you read an article in the MSM about something you're very knowledgable on (especially something technical like motorcycles or aircraft or steam locomotives) you'll be amazed at some of the crap that makes it into print. Yet we assume the stuff we AREN'T experts on is accurate. It's very probably not.

"Why the headline focus on the NRA, then? The headline could have just as easily read "NAACP and some other nonprofits" or "Planned Parenthood and some other nonprofits." There's no justification given in the article for the focus on the NRA in particular when we're talking about a rule that affects literally every 501(c)(4)."

The Dems have hated the NRA since it's founding after the civil war to promote skills and responsibility after it was discovered most of the drafted (mostly urban) soldiers didn't know how to shoot. The U.S. Army really didn't know how to teach them, either.

Why did this mission make the Dems hate the NRA? Since this is before the infection by Marxist international destruction of western civilization, it's not for the reasons they'd use today, that war mongering redneck Americans shouldn't be preparing for a war against Socialist, peaceful, utopias, like Nazi Germany or Soviet Eurasia.

What happened? Taught marksmanship & responsibility in black churches in the South.

We are told we need to take in refugees from Nicaragua. But not why.

It's because Socialists murder them.

It's been the number one reason for refugees in the 20th century. ( in the 21st, it's because Communist endorsed Obama supported jihad..... So it's still "Socialists murder them". )

Ask a Turk. Or a Russian.

Because the 27 year olds that literally know nothing don't even know to ask the questions.

From the article:

2. It shows a young woman with an automatic "assault style" weapon. Liberals don't want images of that disseminated, either.

While I agree with the author, it irritates me that even americanthinker.com doesn't realize that the photo depicts an actual assault rifle, not an "assault style weapon", which is the phrase that scarily reproduces the "assault weapon" moniker they used to apply. Semi-automatic rifles are not "assault style weapons" any more than they were "assault weapons".

Good for you.

Don't let them change the language to screw you.

"Assault Weapon" has one meaning. A lie to scare people. Scary sounding words, that have zero actual physical meaning because they are meant to mean anything at all. A deliberate falsehood. A lie. This was the meaning and intent of the Phrase's inventor.

Any meaning they try and glue to a lie, is a lie. Period, Kiss my shiny metal.......

Now, Assault Rifle! That has a real, defined, technical meaning. Fairly simple, limited, meaning.

The rifles used in WW1&2 were, for the most part, Battle Rifles. Bolt, lever, single shot, or semiautomatic, rifles that used a full power cartridge. 6.5mmm Japanese to 8mm Mauser. More or less .30-06 power.

A Machine gun is a fully automatic gun that fires Battle Rifle, or bigger ammunition.

A Submachine gun is a fully automatic or selective fire gun that uses pistol ammunition.

An Assault Rifle, named by Adolf Hitler as a propaganda tool, is a selective fire, full or semiautomatic action, using a reduced power cartridge (not a pistol cartridge ) to make it useable as a replacement for a submachine gun, but still have a few hundred yards useful range. Reduced power and recoil make fully automatic fire useful, in a rifle weight gun. Battle Rifle ammo is too powerful for that application, requiring a much heavier weapon.

( Like a BAR or MG-42 )

In the US, fully automatic guns have been restricted, but not completely banned, on a Federal level, since 1934. Rare, and today owned by collectors and police, legal fully automatic guns are almost never used in crime of murder. ( I'm unaware of Any ).

There are many States that ban private ownership of fully automatic guns. NY, for example.

This is afaik, the legal, proper, technical explanation of these terms. Any minor word deviation is possible. Any meaning change is a lie.

I skipped the difference between semi & full auto. You're not children or liars. You either know, or ask and many here can tell you.

Have a nice day.

Sorry if I'm pedantic.

I've spent hours today trying to help a friend who may have a legal problem with local laws. Hypothetical, at present, but he bought a forbidden item in a different state and it's illegal to own here. I won't "advertise" it online, as that may be a violation , and a well informed local shop told me he is out most of his investment, unless he pulls some complicated stuff to sell out of state, and he's still out money.... Not a big surprise, even a car loses a big percentage of value the moment you sign the paperwork, and it's no longer, brand new.

Please understand. I'm not asking for help. I'm just explaining why I'm in a pedantic, rebellious mood. Dealing with unconstitutional and dishonest laws does that to me.

The local shop cannot help. They refuse to deal at all with banned items, which is proper, and legally responsible of them.

Further, they warned me against loopholes. !!!

Like a perfectly legal bolt action AR variant, as the State Police agencies have a habit of confiscation, and even if they can't prosecute, it will cost thousands to sue to get a gun back from them, and it will probably be damaged and accessories like scopes, stolen. Complaints universally get ignored, Governor's backing. The fish stinks from the head.

Further, the gun I actually want to buy, lever action carbine, is rare and expensive, because of demand. Dang.

Just for fun I asked if they had any Ruger #1 rifles.... I like them. Yep. One, in .338 Winchester Magnum. Ouch! My shoulder hurts just thinking about it. I was hoping for a .223, or another fun caliber, suitable for 200 odd yards target shooting. A .338? Not so much.

Sorry..... Got off topic, perhaps I thought I was posting to a different thread? In any case, my friends spending money for a toy he can't now have shipped to him... Is not a corrupt news issue. Maybe a buyer beware thing? If he gets it resolved I'll ask him if I can tell you.

Ironically, the link above isn't American Media sin. It's Russian, and Ukrainian Media sins.

Background. Gun show online has done mud test videos of various fire arms. Wheelbarrow with mud..... Don't try this at home. Seriously. Things like this can kill you.

Hilariously, if you are a gun nerd, the "nothing can stop it" AK type rifle they tested, failed, completely. I enjoyed the video. Everything they shoot, covered in mud, sprays mud right into their mouths. Hard.

Russian News got the video, and edited it to make it seem the AK worked, and how awed the Americans were. They even show slow motion video of the gun working perfectly, miraculously spotless! Stolen from the same show! Nothing about spitting, sweating, experts literally beating the gun butt on the ground.. Trying to make it work, and failing. And, yeah, that's actually how you are taught to clear that kind of malfunction.

A fan of the show saw the propaganda and posted it, and the true story.

Then.... Ukrainian tv got a hold of the story, and re edited it to show that the Russians were dirty rotten liars..... and edited in the wrong gun!

The moral might be that even trying to tell the truth, media types are so clueless they can't even tell one scary black thing from another. Or maybe don't care.

I have found this ignorant wrongness in every technology field I'm familiar with, that isn't utterly mainstream, like operating an elevator. Airplanes? Utterly clueless. Motorcycles? Ditto......

Reporter: One of the most prominent organizations you’re working with is Fox News, and they’re sort of incorrigible about proliferating a lot of misinformation. Can you speak to your reasoning behind that? Why would you want to work with an organization like that when, as you said, you’re trying to limit the spread of false information?

At this, Rick Van Veen, head of global creative strategy at Facebook, jumped in: “Yeah, well, given that we have limited time. I’d like to keep it — Fidji and I don’t lead the news organization. Campbell Brown leads that…”

Another reporter in the background: Answer the question!

“We have limited time —”

Another reporter: We’ll give you time!

Simo: “We have a range of new shows we’re presenting —”

Reporter: But Fox News is still on every day, including the weekends on this programming list.

Simo: “So is CNN —”

This was met by some chortles in the crowd, presumably because they don’t think CNN and Fox News are remotely compatible when it comes to accuracy.
