This morning, I caught the 9:15 showing of Avengers: Infinity War. If you like any of the Marvel movies, you'll like this one. It starts with a bang and runs WFO until the end credits. Stay until the end of the credits. The last scene is worth watching.

(I discovered that the 9:15 show is the really cheap one. It only cost $5.50. I guess I'll be going to early shows in the future!)

Also saw it this weekend......early show as well. Wow, it was good.....really good. WFO is a very accurate way to describe it.

Bring on Capt Marvel

Some spoilers.

I haven't seen any of this season yet. The first season was brilliant, violent, and NSFW.

As is usually the case, I have a very different opinion of the movie. The reviewer stated that he disliked both previous Avengers movies, while I liked them. The first more than the second

I'm used to critics disliking movies that I enjoyed, so I can just put this review in with all the others that don't match my opinion.

It's just his opinion. Everybody has one and they all stink.

I also have a thing for Scarlett Johansson

Mmmm, Scarlett...

Have youn's seen "Under The Skin" yet? I really liked it, an actually new/interesting sci-fi flick, with some seriously good MC riding by Jeremy McWilliams et al thrown in to boot!

Caught Deadpool 2, nice theater with recliners.... Full house.

Not for kids, funny sick humor, over the top violence, and....no Stan Lee????

I liked it. There were Cameos. The post cartoon credit scene is worth the short wait. There is a post/ending credits funny, I think worth waiting, YMMV.

No spoilers. It would be very hard to beat the original, especially the opening "credits" scene, and they gave it a good shot.

My sister's comment on Avengers Infinity War is that it's sort of a shame it came out so close to Black Panther, since that film raised the bar so well. Nigh perfect.

Thumbs up on Deadpool 2. Some will disagree.

We have tickets to see Deadpool 2 tonight. Its my Wife's birthday, and I casually suggested going a few weeks ago. To my surprise, she immediately said yes and how funny she thought the first one was. Then last night she made reservations at my favorite restaurant to eat at before hand. I have no idea how I pulled this off, but I'm going to quietly ride it out....

Deadpool,(#1) unlike most superhero movies, is a love story. A romantic comedy.

It's no Harry met Sally, I admit, and few even R rated Rom-coms have "shot in the butt jokes" much less scenes, but it's a movie of romantic errors.

That, plus that Ryan Reynolds is a hottie, explains the attraction for women.

Go with it.

Deadpool 2 was good. Not sure about being as good as the first, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it. Very entertaining.....and just the right amount of over the top dick jokes and references that flew right over my Wife's head...LOL.

I don't want to throw spoilers out there, but the ending credit scenes, while hilarious, also set things up for Deadpool to potentially save the day in the next Avengers movie. I don't know if thats the direction they are going, but it would be fun,

Got Black Panther dvd.

My one minor complaint, that night action scenes were too dark to catch the stunt work, black costume at night..... It's supposed to be hard to see, but not for the audience, isn't true on the dvd.

Don't know if it was the theater's projector setting or my eyes, but I couldn't follow the action. Can on dvd. Huh.

My other complaint, that I hadn't been able to track names & relationships between the beautiful bald woman warriors, was answered by my sister, who told me I just needed to see it twice.( & pay more attention. )

I think it's going to take me a bit longer. But that's fine, since re watching scenes in a movie this good is no chore, and the subject matter is so nice to look at.

Ant Man & The Wasp, July!

Deadpool occupies a unique spot in these movies. It is Not part of the MCU, but is aware of it. Officially a X-Men Universe, but never intended to be in an X-Men movie, Deadpool can use his genre savvy talents, with his awareness that he's in a comic/movie, to comment/joke about, all the movies, including DC ones.

Of course, everyone in his 'verse just thinks he's insane, and ignores him.

Btw, Green Lantern is officially on the top ten movie failures list, in terms of profits.

I'm reminded that Team America, World Police, had to cut several seconds of puppet sex to avoid a R rating.

I'll probably not bother with a puppet private eye movie. No explosions or sky beams.

How about you?

They had to cut several minutes to GET an R rating!
It's NC17 or unrated otherwise.

A list to argue about.

Some I have never seen. A few certainly belong.

Groundhog Day, Unforgiven, True Lies.... All Unreservedly must see films.

Yes, True Lies is a parody, but Charlton Heston was cast as the only person they could think of to intimidate Arnold, : ) it may be the only good performance by Tom Arnold, ; ) Eliza Dushku shows acting chops surprising for her age & experience, and Bill Paxton is great.... Jamie Lee Curtis... Damn. All great performances, even the over the top Art Malik, as the Bad Guy, between scenery Chewing, ( required by the plot, really! ) does Menace with class.

I'm just wondering if it's worth spending six bucks on.

Let me know when redbox has it. I won't spend a dime in a cinema complex nowadays until they all commit to a Faraday cage...

I have better hi-fi than most. I have a big enough screen. I have a fully stocked kitchen, fridge, and pantry.
My dogs and my sweetie at my side, and...

a pause button.

IF you have a cinema decent enuf, by all means go and see it. The original Incredibles movie was great, reviews seem to indicate this sequel doesn't suck.

Sequels can suck.

Did I misspell "Incredibles"

I'm lucky in that the Eastview Mall Googleplex has an extra cost theater with recliners, quite comfy. Syracuse has a Multiplex with beer & pizza.

Plenty of too many screen theaters around here, including second run.

And we have small town theaters with real butter for the popcorn, family run businesses. Yeah, I may have to drive 30-45 minutes to get real butter... but hundred year old theaters just are nice.

A good example is the Star in Dansville NY. https://www.startheatredansville.com/ Posters for sale in the lobby. Real popcorn.

We took the kiddos to see the new Incredibles movie on Saturday. We all enjoyed it. It was my daughters 3rd birthday this weekend and she loves the first movie, so we thought it would be fun for her first real movie experience. Other Daughter just turned 5. Both sat through the entire thing with only minimal squirming and fighting over the pop corn bucket. My only complaint was they had one of those Pixar "short" movies in between the previews and the movie. It wasn't "short", it was more than kinda weird, the kids had no interest in it, and it would have been better of not being there. My 3yr old kept asking loudly "Where's Bob!?" (the dad from Incredibles). She had the whole front of the theater chuckling.
