When we can focus on a solution, as opposed to proving each other wrong, that will be a quantum step forward.

Surely.

Mental health is a copout.

Gun laws are a copout.

How does one rationalize, understand, and counter the very roots of evil?

It's a deeper problem than anyone wants to admit.

Our school safety policies are a deadly joke instituted by our eternal well wishers.

Our agencies, policies, and laws are proven impotent time and time again.

Everyone wants a simple solution. There's a legion "do something" devotees that want their gesture of good faith at everyone's detriment. The global stupidity astounds me, every time.

This morning the local news was talking about HS students here in Michigan having a "town hall" meeting on guns. They made it clear that "no Republicans accepted the invitation to participate". Seeing some of the ambush tactics at the CNN "town hall" meeting, is it any wonder. These things have become events to harass and bully the opposition. I have serious doubts that all of this has sprung up in a grass roots manner among HS students. They are pawns on a much bigger playing field. On the bus, there is virtually no mention of this event. The kids I see are as detached from current events as ever.

Dodge responsibility? Did Wayne LaPierre personally sanction this murderous act?

What nonsense.

The first thing that should be done, if anything, is change offender reporting to NICS from voluntary to mandatory and immediate.

The 2nd thing is to stop leaving areas designated as "gun free" open and without adequate contingencies or security.

It always costs top much, or is unreasonable, or other such nonsense...but it's perfectly okay to let failing policies continue to fail.

Our Governor has put forth proposals to ban bump stocks and raise the age limit to 21 for purchasing long guns. It appears a needless and arbitrary ploy to satiate frothing mad "liberals."

The .gov fails again, and we should suffer?

Anyway, I fired my guns and they were nice.

Just some fast shooting at 7yds...nothing fancy.

So much posturing against the NRA by idiot propagandists and blatant sensationalists.

One would think they'd have a good case for slander. They're literally suggesting that the organization and their reps are responsible for murder. Insane.

Dana Loesche, Colion Noire, Grant Stinchfield, and Wayne LaPierre have done well to stand their ground over the collective insanity. They cannot back down to these masses of bullies and insidious A-holes.

Dana especially, is again being skewered by the media. So much for standing up for women. If a women cares for their rights instead of abortion (A.K.A. controlling the body) they're demonized like they're an accessory to murder. It's so bad.

The media is polarizing people to the point that more are going to be radicalized...while they call you and me extremists. Yeah...right.

The voices of reason are being drown out by the socialists and communists calling themselves "progressives."

Our courts have said that police have no obligation to protect citizens. Here you see it in action. I prefer not to pass judgement on these individuals, but it's important to recognize that most people have an inherent desire to not be killed. An armed teacher in a class room will also not want to be killed. Locking down the class room still makes a lot of sense. I am convinced though, that if the bad guy forces his way into a class room, the armed teacher has a vested interest in taking out the bad guy. He/she has skin in the game. The police did not have skin in the game. It's often said that when seconds matter, the police are minutes away. Here the police were seconds away, but waited minutes anyway. As a result, they want to further restrict our natural right to defend ourselves. This simply defies logic.

The media frenzy and extreme politicization of these tragic events is tiresome.

I've found the Canadians get quite nasty when you point out the flaws in their propaganda and rhetoric. That gets tiresome as well.

We don't need gun control. We need people to pay attention and do something when a known whacko has weapons and on multiple occasions voiced his idea to use them. Why wasn't the idiot at least Baker Acted and put in a rubber room for a while?

If he could not get guns, he would have used a knife, or some other weapon, possibly far more deadly than what he did.

We also need sheep dogs in the populace for in case stuff like this happens. Armed sheep dogs with the sole purpose and dedication to PROTECT the innocent.

Is it the police's sworn duty to SERVE AND PROTECT, or to SERVE and DO SOMETHING IF IT DOESN'T ENDANGER ME and it isn't too much of a BOTHER?

Finally, the list grows of companies I will never do business with again.
