The *ACTUAL* 2016 FBI Report on “Russian Hacking” Does Not Show What Media Claim It Does

Last year, against the backdrop of President 0bama’s sanctions announcement against Russia, we closely reviewed the “Russian Malicious Cyber Activity – Joint Analysis Report”. This December 2016 intelligence report ([link to] actual document below) is the report where the media talking points “17 intelligence agencies agreed” and the Russian “hacking of the election” began.

The report was released to coincide with President 0bama kicking out Russian diplomats as punishment for the content therein. Everyone talks about this report, yet almost no-one talking about it has actually read it. WE HAVE.

President Obama’s administration released the ‘Joint Analysis Report’ which various politicians and media claimed to outline details of Russia’s involvement hacking into targeted data, computer systems, and political networks during the election.

Except it doesn’t.

Not even a little.

The “Russian Malicious Cyber Activity – Joint Analysis Report” (full pdf below) is pure nonsense. It outlines nothing more than vague and disingenuous typical hacking activity that is no more substantive than any other hacking report on any other foreign actor.

This report might as well be blaming Nigerian fraud phone solicitors for targeting U.S. phone numbers. Just because your grandma didn’t actually win that Nigerian national lottery doesn’t mean the Nigerian government, or representative of the Nigerian government were targeting grandma.

This FBI report is, well, quite simply, pure nonsense, that’s why NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers refused to endorse it.

quote:

[…] And then you hear it’s 17 agencies. Well, it’s three. And one is Brennan and one is whatever. I mean, give me a break. They’re political hacks.

So you look at it — I mean, you have Brennan, you have Clapper, and you have Comey. Comey is proven now to be a liar and he’s proven to be a leaker.

-- President Donald J. Trump

That quote was from President Trump yesterday and he’s entirely correct. James Clapper (ODNI), John Brennan (CIA) and James Comey (FBI) were indeed political hacks.

The proof is in their own action:

- Remember CIA Director John Brennan got caught, and later apologized, for using his agency to spy on congress (SEE HERE), for political purposes.

- Then there’s the Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, who admitted to lying to congress (SEE HERE) for political purposes.

- Lastly, FBI Director James Comey who admitted to leaking his memo content to the New York Times for political purposes.

Their admitted behavior.

Their admitted use of their intelligence positions for political reasons.

Political hacks.

Today:

Sunday Talks: Two Political Hacks Clutch Their Intelligence Pearls

Former ODNI James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan, appear with Jake Tapper to defend themselves against President Trump calling them out as political hacks yesterday. Together they attempt round #3 of couples grief therapy while selling their nonsense. Oh, how they both think we have forgotten – we haven’t.

As you watch James Clapper read his teleprompter, and yes, he’s reading from prepared script because he’s a useful idiot (see: 02:28 for confirmation[*]), it should be noted that President Obama blamed James Clapper for the “rise of ISIS“. Additionally it should be noted that Clapper previously admitted to lying to congress about ‘spying on Americans’.

John Brennan is even worse. Earlier in the year Brennan contradicted Comey and stated he told congress and the FBI about Russian activity AFTER Comey testified he didn’t. Go figure. Then again, earlier in his career Brennan admitted to hacking into the State Department in 2008 to review/modify candidate 0bama’s passport records; six years later, following an Inspector General report, Brennan was forced to admit and apologize to the Senate Intelligence Committee for using the CIA to spy on congress.

How Brennan was never prosecuted for those crimes is a question never answered. Then again, he’s defending the weaponized FBI so there’s that quid-pro-quo angle to digest. I digress:

quote:

[*]Depending on how good your equipment is (whatever you are watching him on) you can see Clapper’s teleprompter in the reflection of his glasses (it’s a scroll of important bullet points to assert).

Department of Justice Compensates Victims of Bernard Madoff Fraud Scheme With Funds Recovered Through Asset Forfeiture

The Department of Justice today announced that on Nov. 9, the Madoff Victim Fund (MVF) began its initial distribution of $772.5 million in funds forfeited to the U.S. Government in connection with the Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS) fraud scheme. These funds will be sent to 24,631 victims across the globe. This distribution represents the first in a series of payments that will eventually return over $4 billion to victims as compensation for losses they suffered from the collapse of the BLMIS. The MVF has received over 65,000 petitions from victims in 136 countries.

These payments mark the single largest distribution of forfeited funds in the history of the Department’s victim compensation program.

Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim for the Southern District of New York and Assistant Director in Charge William F. Sweeney Jr., of the FBI’s New York Field Division made the announcement.

“Thanks to civil asset forfeiture, the Department of Justice is announcing today the record-setting distribution of restitution to victims of Bernard Madoff’s notorious investment fraud scheme,” said Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein. “We have recovered billions of dollars from third parties – not Mr. Madoff – and are now returning that money to tens of thousands of victims. This is the largest restoration of forfeited property in history.”

Snips from impromptu presser aboard AF1 en route back to Hawaii from Asia:

quote:

Q: Are you proud of the trip?

THE PRESIDENT: Very proud of it from a standpoint of security and safety, military — very proud — and trade. You will see numbers that you won’t believe over the years. Because over a period of years, they will be treating us much differently than they have in the past.

People were taking advantage — countries were taking advantage of the United States, more than just this region, but the world. And those days are over. We’re going to be fair, we’re going to be reciprocal. As I said in my remarks before: We will be reciprocal, meaning if they’re doing it, we’re doing it. And that’s the way it’s going to be.

Q: If you had to point to one thing that you feel like you accomplished, that you got done that you could tell the American about, what is it?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I think we made a lot of progress, just in terms of relationship. We actually sold $300 billion worth of equipment and other things. And I think that number is going to be quadrupled very quickly. So that’s over a trillion dollars’ worth of stuff.

I think we have done a really fantastic job. It’s been a great trip. It’s also been really good, in terms of North Korea and getting everybody together. I think their acts are all together. China has been excellent. Japan and South Korea have been excellent. I think that’s a very important part of the trip.

And the other important part to me was trade and relationships. The Philippines is an unbelievably important military location because if you speak to the admirals and you speak to the generals, that’s a perfect spot. And, as you know, we had no relationship for a long period of time in the Philippines, and now we have a very good relationship there. We’re back with the Philippines. So, strategically, we have a very important location — maybe the most important strategic location in that area. So it’s good.

Q: Can you say what you might announce on Thursday, or Wednesday, at the White House?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I think we’re going to go into details of what I said. Were you there before, when I — I think we’ll be going into some more details as to what we’re doing, as to what we accomplished. But, specifically, deals, concepts. And we’ll be pinpointing things.

But, you know, it’s minimum $300 billion, and that’s going to be very quickly over a trillion dollars, that in itself. And I would say that’s the least significant thing that we accomplished. I think one of the things we really accomplished big is relationship, and also letting people know that from now on, things are going to be reciprocal. We can’t have trade deficits of $30, $40, $50 billion; $300 billion in the case of China. We can’t do that. We have to have reciprocal trade. What’s good for them is good for us.

Q: Why are those relationships so important? And is there a risk of getting too close to President Xi?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, relationship is always important. It doesn’t mean it’s necessarily close. It’s really a relationship based on respect. To me, a relationship based on respect is much more important than anything else, including friendship. Because this is really something — they have to respect our country. And they have not respected our country for a long period of time.

One of my complaints about Donald is all the Obama legacy jerks he hasn't fired.

Obama put a lot of ideological minions in power to ruin the military, law enforcement, the Injustice dept, State, EPA, XYZ, etc. To Ruin America, because we don't deserve our success. Hey, Barry's a Weasel.

Donald left far too many of these people in power, and it's biting us all. Fire them, or transfer them to Diego Garcia.

Dems have filed articles of impeachment!

Five articles of impeachment against Trump introduced by House Democrats

quote:

Cohen and other leaders of the impeachment effort disagreed that their effort could hurt Democrats in next year's congressional elections.

"I think the Democratic base needs to be activated. The Democratic base needs to know there are members of Congress willing to stand up against this president," Cohen said.

That's pretty much an admission that this is all nothing but political theater. The Dems have sunk to a new low.

He's not silencing them. He's not telling them they can't talk. He's simply presenting an opposing view to the MSM brainwash-stream.

These people are SO pathetic. *I'm* tempted to run. Platform?

Democrats Introduce Articles of Impeachment Against Trump

A group of six Democratic House members introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, claiming the president has violated federal law and the public trust, and should be charged with high crimes and misdemeanors.

Democratic Reps. Steve Cohen of Tennessee, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois, Al Green of Texas, and Adriano Espaillat of New York introduced five articles of impeachment at a press conference at the Capitol Wednesday. The articles have two more co-sponsors: Reps. Marcia Fudge of Ohio and John Yarmuth of Kentucky.

Let's impeach every politician that has ever voted for gun control without first repealing the 2nd amendment.

The GOP should DO THAT.

If the DNC is obsessed with theatre of the absurd...let's stoop to their level. Let the public see how full-blown nutso these people are. PROSECUTE for UraniumOne. PROSECUTE for foreign DNC contributions that weren't reported. PROSECUTE for race-baiting. PROSECUTE Soros for being an and undermining our nation and our government. PROSECUTE the MSM for not being a "free and unbiased" press.

Nothing will get done...but perhaps it'll make the point that the DNC is being totally unreasonable and acting like a four year old in the middle of a temper tantrum.

Clear the swamp by force.

"We believe" is completely different than "we have proven", or "there is legal evidence that".

"I believe" the government should pay me $200k a year for being a good citizen. But...I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.

Legislation and Lobbyists

There are many people taking notice of modern politics for the first time in their lives. There is also some confusion noticed between two groups who talk above and around each other. Two groups communicating from two entirely different sets of understanding. Perhaps it is valuable to reset the larger frames of reference and provide clarity.

Many, heck, most people think when they vote for a federal politician -a representative- they are voting for a person who will go to Washington DC and write or enact legislation. This is the old-fashioned “schoolhouse rock” perspective based on decades past.

There is not a single congress person who writes legislation or laws.

In 2017 not a single member of the House of Representatives or Senator writes a law, or puts pen to paper to write out a legislative construct. This simply doesn’t happen.

Over the past several decades a system of constructing legislation has taken over Washington DC that more resembles a business operation than a legislative body. Here’s how it works right now:
