https://www.infowars.com/trump-will-be-deposed-imm ediately-if-he-blocks-trade-with-china-over-n-kore a-assange/

The guy who can't leave an embassy in London or he correctly fears he will be arrested or murdered seems to lack the understanding that "deposed" isn't how Americans get rid of Presidents we disagree with. We vote for someone else. ( and usually it works, 2012 aside )

More important is the China propaganda machine claiming that the real threat is China attempting to punish Kim would lead to war between China and N Korea.

I'm pretty sure that's for domestic consumption. It's message to the world is that China doesn't want to stop Kim in any way. He's too useful.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/451011/north -korea-nuclear-problem-kim-jong-un-china-puppet-re gime-no-good-solutions

One option is to trade China unchallenged power in the region in exchange for ousting Kim and putting it their own, different, puppet. This may mean leaving S. Korea and pretty much ignoring China's territorial ambition to own the oil fields in the S. China sea now claimed by multiple countries.

Alternatively we hammer China by cutting off trade. That would kick off planetary depression and kill millions in China from hunger. It may restore some American manufacturing jobs. But the transition would be painful.

And might do no good at all about Kim.

China's rulers don't take being dictated to well. Who does? But we're talking people that order execution of anyone who says something that upsets them. Including the word "no". While keeping their power is the only priority they have, a few million Chinese subjects dead doesn't bother them a bit. They've killed that many several times before just for PR reasons.

Don't make the snowflake mistake that everyone wants what you want or thinks like you do. China's rulers don't think like you do.

Let me know when Satan calls Trump voters evil. That could be the last straw.

Words not said by Trump:

[T]here are those in the immigrants’ rights community who have argued passionately that we should simply provide those who are [here] illegally with legal status, or at least ignore the laws on the books and put an end to deportation until we have better laws. … I believe such an indiscriminate approach would be both unwise and unfair. It would suggest to those thinking about coming here illegally that there will be no repercussions for such a decision. And this could lead to a surge in more illegal immigration. And it would also ignore the millions of people around the world who are waiting in line to come here legally. Ultimately, our nation, like all nations, has the right and obligation to control its borders and set laws for residency and citizenship. And no matter how decent they are, no matter their reasons, the 11 million who broke these laws should be held accountable.

Back then it was just placating the conservatives, with the idea of "comprehensive immigration reform" being on the table. Everyone knew what that meant though, and it went nowhere. Just the weasel feeling out his new position as leader of the free world, before he went on his progressive full court press. I.E., He may have said those words, but he never meant it, so it's OK, because it was a lie told to promote the progressive agenda. Sound like anything else that troubles the world?

More than 5,000 out-of-state voters may have tipped New Hampshire against Trump

quote:

Over 6,000 individuals registered to vote in New Hampshire on Election Day Nov. 8 using out-of-state driver’s licenses — and since then the vast majority have neither obtained an in-state license nor registered a motor vehicle.

Of course we are told there is not voter fraud! It seems easy enough to follow up on the folks in this category. If they didn't move to NH, and they showed up to vote, PROSECUTE THEM!

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/09/18/the- risk-of-nuclear-war-with-north-korea

2 things strike me hardest.

The nuclear threat is directly the fault of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who went to war with an enemy who had already surrendered and abandoned his nuclear program. Barry the Weasel blames the war on Hillary and Rice, btw. He claims they wanted it, presumably to give Hillary publicly as a great leader and of course there had to be massive bribes to her involved. No doubt that will come out sometime.

So there's no reason for Kim to give up his nukes since Obama's treachery shows giving up WMDs just opens you to invasion.

Gee thanks, Barry. Your illegal war just keeps on giving.

Second, there's no truth that anyone in N Korea has ever heard. They've been lied to their whole lives. American news and it's hate for America is considered the actual official line. ( which it was under Barry, his personal propaganda machine, and it still is )

So even the leaders of N Korea are working from false impressions based on lies from CNN.

There will be war. It won't be pretty.

Nuking Beijing might be the smartest opening shot. How wonderful the foreign affairs left us by Barack & Hillary!

The folk at National Review are not Donald fans. They weren't Barry fans either.

Turning the writing of laws back to Congress ( it's their job, believe it or not ) instead of making them up like a Chinese dictator, or Obama, is a good thing.

And if congress is too busy trying to hurt Donald and CYA to do their jobs? Fire them the next election. Replace them with Tea Party candidates. That'll torque everyone off. Except Americans.

The only problem is the American public at large isn't intelligent enough to properly make that decision.

A- they don't care

B- those who do, aren't smart enough to disregard the MSM

C- those who are smart enough, and diligent enough, to attain REAL facts...don't have strong enough numbers to effect change.

Yet.

The Presidential election was one thing; that's a "big show" and it gets everyone out to get involved, like a Skynyrd concert that pulls tens of thousands of fans to buy tickets.

Local/congressional elections? Those are the local bar band. Some die-hard fans come out...but if you get 250 people through the door, the bar management is thrilled. The musicians may be just as good (in some cases, better) as the national acts...but they just don't have the name, or the image, or the draw.

So...how do we fix that, in order to actually effect change starting at the local level? (actual question - I'm genuinely curious).

There are times I miss active duty, only because of the people I met and became close to. The assholes out in the civilian world don't generally make it into the ranks. It's like a filter. The result was that when you walked into a room full of people, you always felt safe. No thieves to pick your pocket. No angry assholes to start a fight.

I agree term limits are the answer.

And I agree - they'll never happen.

Unless Trump really is the man we elected, really does want to drain the swamp, and simply issues a Presidential Order decreeing it, in the name of fixing the broken damn system.

And if he's smart, he'll do it. Because it's non-discriminatory - it limits ALL terms, not just Dems, not just Republicans, not just women, not just blacks, not just whites...EVERY OFFICE. Get 'em the hell out before they screw stuff up even worse than it is.

But...we still need to find a way to make John Q Public give two shits about congressional, mayoral, and other local elections.

Until the public gives a shit....NOTHING will change. Complacency will continue to be the end of the rule of law, because liars and schemers will continue to take advantage of those who simply don't care enough to learn how to defend themselves, and their beliefs.

Watch the movie Demolition Man. Not a great movie...but there's a lot to be learned from its "vision of society". Look carefully at the structure they portray for the city of San Angeles. Impotent police; "man behind the curtain" evil dictator puppeteer; oblivious citizens; and a general population who is completely devoid of any common sense or individual thought.

Hm.

Why does that ring a bell...?

http://www.latimes.com/world/mexico-americas/la-fg -canada-asylum-seekers-20170915-htmlstory.html

This reminds me of why New York once was the place to go for internal migration. It paid better to be on welfare in New York than working in most other states, especially the southern Democrat ones.

Today people flee the tax and illegal law burdens of New York, rich people first, then the middle class.

I'm not counting the illegal immigrants, they keep pouring in for the same reason the migration of yesteryear did, high welfare payments. But total admitted numbers of New York residents is down. ( leftist governor, leftist lies, immigration numbers are known false )

Local gajillionair, founder of Paychex, publicly fled New York to escape high taxes. With some controversy as he left an incomplete mansion behind, with contradictory stories. Building hyper costly house for relatives and suddenly suing contractors for ripping him off? Contractors suing to get paid for hyper expensive materials. What seemed to be a destined for Architectural Digest ego trip of imported marble and baby harp seal skin wallpaper abandoned half finished.

I could be wrong about the seal skin. It might have been gold foil on sliced elephant tusks. The rumors were pretty weird. ; )

Of course if our worst problem was crazy rich people who play politics ( by golly he does ) screwing local contractors then we'd be in great shape. In fact it's all but forgotten by all but the personally ripped off.

We still have the taxes the rich can avoid by moving. The Governor who has a State Police advance team leading his armored convoy stealing yard signs off private property so he doesn't see criticism. ( and that's the nicest thing I can say about him )

So the parallels to Canadian idiocy are striking.

I think this is the most hilarious thing yet.

On the one hand, challenging the culture of Pro Football would seem to be a losing hand in any PR battle.

On the other hand, the NFL is full of rich divas and Colin whatshisname and his fans calling him not being hired because he's bad for business racism isn't fooling anyone, and makes the whole business seem foolish.

on the gripping hand, SNL hasn't been this funny since Bassomatic. The comedy here, even if we end up at war with Russia because Hillary is a psychopath, is beyond belief. I really wish George Carlin was still here...

My advice to Donald would be to suddenly stop tweeting.

The news would be full of leaks about how he's been assassinated, and there's a huge cover up, or he had a stroke, or it's the Russians and Polonium, or.....

A better speech writer with orders to make him seem considered and calm for a few appearances would just drive them nuts.
