I blame Congress.

Oh, Donald is a jerk, sure.

The Republicans voted to repeal obamacare seven times. Now they fear to look bad in the eyes of the brainwashed.

Incompetent or dishonest? Both? You tell me.

Donald's tax cut plan looks like a no show too. Congress again.

Where's the budget?

Ryan is running out of excuses for not having budget bills as opposed to this continuing resolution garbage.

Also, Go Donald on making Congress "enjoy" Obamacare! https://spectator.org/obamacare-time-for-trump-to- make-congress-share-our-pain/

Um 7 times?, try almost 70 times. Reputhetics voted to kill our health care system (and thusly many Americans) over and over and over, yet they have no real plan for what to do next.

So a Democratic African American President is at fault for every perceived fault in America, but not Trump, I see.

Spoken like a true Dem.

Has nothing to do with his race, color, or creed. It's a bad plan. Period.

Most people have ONE insurance provide to "choose from", because every other provider has pulled out of their locale. Providers are bailing left and right because they can't make it work for THEM, nevermind for the patients.

How's that "you can keep your doctor if you like them" thing going?

Then there's premium hikes. Nobody can afford insurance. THAT has more chance of "killing people" than a new plan would.

I think P45 has the right idea in making Congress pay up like the rest of us. Yank their illegal exemption (they filed as a "small business", which is defined as 50 employees or less, even though Congress and all its staffers who are taking advantage of the exemption number well over 1,000). Make them pay the same premium hikes the rest of us have to deal with. Put them through the same "choices" for coverage the rest of us have. THAT should motivate some of the meatballs to get off their asses and DO THEIR JOBS.

The problem right now is not our last president, regardless of creed or color. The problem now is Congress not acting. The GOP folks have said for seven years "we'll repeal and replace it"...when it was safe and there was no chance of it getting signed. No real plans were put in place, nothing formulated. Now, when it actually MATTERS and the President is ready to SIGN? The pussies on both sides of the aisle are so hell-bent on partisan bullshit that they won't even sit to TALK about a plan. Obstructionism is the word of the day right now and that has to stop.

No; Obamalamadingdong was a racist and caved in to the Insurance industry when he was trying to pass the Unaffordable Health Care Act, thus making him a colossal failure IMO, but there are many ills that were there long before he arrived on the scene.

Obamacare is a failure. it is far from what its intended purpose was supposed to be. In its present form, it's a boon to the Insurance industry; giving them carte blanche to set astronomical rates and reaping record high profits while totally burying the medical industry in great reams of red tape.

While Obamacare really needs an overhaul to get it back to its intended purpose, the Insurance industry is spending a fortune on keeping it the status quo. They know a good thing when they have it.

Reputhetics? I think I like that. Kill the health care system? No, that's the Purpose of Obamacare, per Cloward-Piven principals.

No real plan? Spot on.

Ratbuell, Barry illegally took money from one federal program, our taxes, and paid the Congressmen's staffer's health insurance.

In DIRECT VIOLATION of Obamacare. Yes, that provision was a poison pill put in by a Republican, not one of which voted for Obamacare, but the attempt, by a R, to make Congress feel the Citizen's pain by making them subject to the same laws they were voting for, was erased by Barry, illegally.

Trump can simply stop the illegal tax transfer. Boom! Congress goes ballistic.

Not only can he, it's the law. He's allowing a violation every second he doesn't act to stop this ongoing crime.

you skipped logic and rationality.

I have my faith. Don't proselytize, don't even claim to be particularly devout, but I have faith.

Doesn't mean I don't believe in science as a means of understanding the world, doesn't mean I reject all other's faith's either. They can be wrong without being evil.

But there are evil faiths out there. Written by evil men with evil intent. Preaching hate and using hate and lies to gain power.

Not too strange that those people hate the Christians, who's inspiration was a man who preached self examination, peaceful co-existence, and love for one another.

Hard to get a good mob going to kill your enemies and steal their stuff when your message is "keep cool, give it a fair thinking, and remember we're all in this together". ( yet simply by skipping those parts, a good Mob isn't hard to find )

It's time for EVERYONE to realize that the tools in Washington have no interest in doing what is right for the people. Or even fulfilling campaign promises. It was easy for Republicans to say they wanted to repeal Obamacare when they knew that Obama would veto whatever the did. Now, with a President that wants to put something better in place, their true colors are showing. They had no interest in Repealing Obamacare because Obamacare gave the Government control over something that accounts for 1/6th of our economy. Even more important, it gave the Government control over OUR health.

Why would these power hungry Oligarchs want to give that up? The small minority of Republicans that actually want to do something have been thwarted at every turn by the McCain's on the R side. The Rino's and establishment Republicans that do not want to upset the apple cart. It is these same tools that have also been stabbing Trump in the back at every opportunity.

Our system is broken. I say, let it fall apart completely and then rebuild a better one.

I say this not easily or lightly but with the hopes of much better future for my son. The Oligarchy needs to come crashing down.

I agree - it's ALL broken.

I also re-state: it has nothing to do with the fact that Barry is black. African-American. Whatever the hell term you want to use. Black, white, green, purple with polka-dots - doesn't matter. He was as crooked as the day is long, and he got away with it. Maybe BECAUSE he's black? Similar to the concept that we can't fight Islamic terrorists because that's racist against Islamists...? I don't know. But, I don't blame him because he's black. I blame him because he's a crook. Period.

Drain the swamp. Get 'em ALL out. Replace 'em. With term limits, and pension limits. Same rules for them as for us mere mortals.

I can dream...

The cries of racism kill me.

Seriously.

Obama is as much white as he is black...but it's politically expedient to call him black so the empty cry of racism can be called upon whenever somebody brings up the fact that he wanted to fundamentally destroy everything we stand for.

Trump is gleefully displayed as a failure at this time through all popular channels of communication. It will surely only strengthen his resolve.

The gutlessness of the political establishment is now on full display...the depth of the uni-party and their public grandstanding while it's largely business as usual internally.

All of the political class should be subject to the same laws, regulations, and programs that affect the rest of us. Anything to the contrary is tyrannical.

I'm personally not a fan of Obamacare lite measures.

Problems created by government intervention are not fixed by more of the same.

I read a good debate point. If talking to a liberal and they haven't blown their stack and started yelling racist yet, just ask one question.

Do you trust the government?
If the answer is no then ask them, "why in the world would you want to make something you don't trust even bigger?"

Keeping our rights, national identity, and opposing ever expanding regressive social programs and policies is not a matter of identity politics. It's a matter of who you want to make the decisions in your life...yourself or a government bureaucracy. Somehow that equates to being racist and lacking compassion. Okay, boss.

The sad thing we are witnessing, is that it's clear that when any leader comes to power, with the idea of cleaning up the corruption in our government, they will be fought from both sides. Trump is the closest thing to a third party President that I can remember. He is getting stabbed in the front and the back. Good luck with ever having a successful third party while this mess exists.

As for the failure to "fix" the health care system... The current failing system is owned 100% by the Democrats. They refused to be a part of the first go at trying to fix it under Trump. That was not a repeal as had been promised by the spineless Republicans. The Democrats were 100% in opposition to any sort of fix. Just as they refused to fix it when BO was still in office, and it was obvious that it was headed for implosion.

What's really funny is a Socialist supporter complaining about how bad things are. Last quarters GDP numbers are in at 2.6%. That equals BO's best yearly GDP numbers. Have you paid any attention AT ALL to the worlds most recent socialist experiment. Veneszuela is literally a war zone. Now there's something to strive for!

I almost for got something. Last week I saw an astounding statistic. 70% of our hospitals uncollectable debt is coming from people who ARE insured. They simply can't afford the deductibles they are saddled with under these insurance plans. In what way is this better than not having insurance?

Not just kill children. Oh, sure, they'll cheerfully kill any children, parts is profit after all. But black children by design.

Obamacare extends late term abortion out to your old age. Where once again you can be killed for the good of the Collective.

Thought you guys on the fence about President Trump, you guys that think you got duped, might enjoy this article.

Totally nails it as far as I'm concerned

August 3, 2017
Cooler Heads and Chaos
By Sally Zelikovsky

It is no news that some Republicans have opposed Trump all along and do not support him as President. Anyone with a pulse knows that their opposition is budding into an insurrection, and some even make the case for a full blown putsch, as does Hoover Fellow Richard Epstein in "Presidential Chaos."

Although, “the Republican case against Trump is in the whispering phase, as no one wants openly to state the obvious,” Epstein does just that. He argues that because a self-inflicted “perpetual state of dysfunction and chaos” has claimed the Trump presidency, he instructs "cooler heads in the Republican party to have a heart-to-heart with a stubborn President Trump, to create the needed political momentum for him to leave office -- for the good of his party, and, most importantly, for the good of the nation."

Since there are no grounds for impeachment by either party, he suggests Trump be ousted by Republicans to prevent Democrats from controlling the narrative. Replace Trump, the Tweet Slinger, with Pence, the More Palatable, whom he believes is patiently waiting in the wings, prepared at any moment to pounce for the good of the party. Pence should continue to implement his boss’ agenda because Trump’s accomplishments are solid (excepting immigration, trade, and ObamaCare), his appointments excellent, and his efforts scaling back Obama’s engorged administrative state are bearing fruit.

So there really aren’t any substantive grounds for his overthrow. It really comes down to the individual, the way he governs, the way he acts, and the chaos that flows in his wake, which is damaging the party and the country. If these were legitimate grounds for a legitimate ouster, pretty much every President would be vulnerable.

Why don’t these self-righteous senators and provocateurs who think they are America’s last best hope just stab the guy to death? It doesn’t sound like they’ll have a problem finding a Brutus. Et tu Jeff Flake, John McCain, Lindsay Graham?

I’m personally disgusted by the arrogance to openly call for his defenestration in blatant disregard for the electoral will. Who are they to decide our political fate?

Let me make a suggestion -- it’s only four years. Let Trump have his run and, if he’s that awful, he won’t win another four years… or… is that what they are worried about? They are afraid he just might win another term and that must be thwarted at all costs -- now, in the least messy way possible.

That would mean, no stabbings or beheadings -- way too public. Just leave him the gift of a decapitated horse’s head in his bed, like "Presidential Chaos." Maybe that will scare him into resigning, in which case the provocateurs can claim no hands were sullied in the making of this coup.

Professor Provocateur readily admits Trump must be “dealt with” even though in Trump’s six months, he has revitalized the economy, attacked regulation, unraveled Obama excesses, taken a tough stand on foreign affairs, made excellent cabinet choices, appointed Neil Gorsuch, allowed the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines to proceed, and withdrawn from the Paris accords.

Nevertheless, his transgressions against Jeff Sessions (which did light a fire under the AG’s fanny), the Scaramucci brouhaha (dealt with), and the Boy Scout Jamboree (much ado about nothing), are so egregious he must be dethroned. Come on, really? Then, an even more incensed Professor Provocateur points to Trump’s “ill-considered tweet haphazardly announcing a ban on transgender people serving in the military, which everyone from a blindsided James Mattis on down regarded as a gratuitous insult to many transgender soldiers who have served with distinction.” (Everyone? Really? With so many in the military and the general population supporting this, it’s hard to see how Epstein can attribute this sentiment to everyone. A little hyperbole there, Professor?).

Who knew that social policies like this would be grounds for forced removal from the Oval Office? We could have simply used “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” to impeach Slick Willy instead of involving Monica Lewinsky and her blue dress.

All of this prompts Professor Provocateur to ask:

How many adults are currently in residence at the White House to keep the President in line? Unfortunately, Trump’s own intellectual shortcomings and personal insecurities leave him without any secure internal compass on matters of policy. His clueless leadership was evident in the recent fiasco with Obamacare, where he could not explain how the implosion of the exchanges and the breakdown of Medicaid services required an immediate response. His lack of self-confidence in turn prevents him from including experienced old-hands like John Bolton or Karl Rove in his inner circle, where infighting between the Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner factions are slowing down the process of key government appointments and leading to huge political gaffes like Trump’s first immigration order. There’s too much self-inflicted harm. [Italics added.]

Never mind that self-inflicted harm is a malady common to every presidency and that Democrat presidents have historically been protected from its ill-effects by the media, whereas Trump has had to face daily blitzkriegs from a crazed and brazen media out for his head.

Epstein seems to be operating under the delusion that Trump could be kept in line by appointing seasoned cogs in the establishment wheel, like John Bolton or Karl Rove. Can we all agree how absurd this is?

As I said in "Trump’s Game of Stones," the Karl Rove and Josh Bolton types had a place in yesterday’s political universe, but are anathema to the political realities of today. Any establishment figure in the White House, as we saw with Reince Priebus, would be a colossal mismatch. Trump’s election was the forgotten GOP base’s way -- aided by the forgotten Reagan Dems -- of putting someone in office who would do what is best for the little guy -- not what’s best for the party, for anyone’s re-election, or for establishment hacks. Simply put, the Forgotten Masses were tired of being left behind by the party, by people they elected, and by the establishment.

Trump was put there to upend the status quo; Rove is the embodiment of the status quo. The very idea of keeping Trump in line with establishment overlords is an oxymoron. He is the very definition of someone who cannot be kept in line. Nor was he elected to stay in line. For that, we could have voted for Jeb!

How many times do guys like Richard Epstein have to get conked on the head to get it -- as if Trump trouncing Hillary wasn’t enough of a conk? When Trump didn’t magically become “more presidential” in the Oval Office, again, a conk on the ol’ noggin. And for every nonpresidential tweet, and every little skirmish he survived, and every norm of expected presidential behavior he flouted, you could hear the conk, conk, conk on the supposedly cooler heads of Karl Rove, Chas. Krauthammer, and Bret Stephens.

Hello, is anybody home? If they’re home, they’re certainly not listening. And if they’re listening, they’re definitely not comprehending. But they’re not that stupid, so, they must be comprehending, in which case they are up to no good: they want us to believe that Trump can and should get in line and any refusal to do so is grounds for us to force him out.

Even if by some miracle we could rein in Trump, does anyone really think that would change the behavior or commentary of any left-winger or #NeverTrumper? The reportage would continue to be all about chaos and fiascos, self-inflicted harm, bumbling buffoonery, internecine squabbles, and the shortcomings and insecurities of President Trump.

And even if Trump were out of the picture, what makes them think Pence would be embraced as the darling of the Democrat-Media Complex? He is socially much more conservative than Trump -- with his views on abortion, religion, and all things LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ, moderate conservatives and the left will eat Pence alive.

The irony of it all is that Professor Provocateur’s “cooler heads” are the very reason the elites and grassroots are at loggerheads. These cooler heads might want Trump to leave office, but the people who voted for him do not see that as a solution: how does forcing an outsider like Trump out of office benefit a party that was already on life support because of the cooler heads that have been in charge of the party for decades -- a party that was a breath away from irrelevance long before Donald Trump came into the picture?

Trump’s rise to power is symptomatic -- not the cause -- of a necrotic GOP controlled by the cooler heads Epstein lauds -- a GOP that used its grassroots to regain power, then turned its back on the very people it exists to represent.

For those who think Epstein is onto something and the GOP has our best interests at heart, just look at the train wreck of “repeal and replace” under the stewardship of cooler heads like McConnell and Ryan. They’ve had eight years to plan for this -- eight years to pluck and institute ready-made health insurance plans from the desks of policy experts at Heritage and the Pacific Research Institute. So, what have they been doing for the last eight years with our tax dollars and campaign donations? How have those cooler heads performed on repeal and replace?

When Nancy Pelosi had to get votes for ObamaCare, she whipped the bejesus out of her people -- threatening to withhold financial support in their re-election campaigns, to field other Democrats to run against them, to take away their committee assignments and relegate them to latrine duty. What did the Republican whips do? Play patty cake with Susan Collins in the hopes that a bit of bonding would win hearts and votes?

Trump might be a disaster in the end, but it won’t be because of his agenda, the way he comports himself, the competency of his communications team, or his tweets. It will be due, to a great extent, to the relentless attacks and fake news disseminated by the Democrat-Media Complex and the patent coup from the Democrats.

But the real damage will be inflicted by the latent coup from within his own party. It is not so much presidential chaos, Professor Provocateur, as it is party chaos. If only cooler heads would prevail.

We need the feds the HELL OUT of health care. The VA is now losing business to private medical care providers. Nice.

Consider, purely hypocritically... I mean, hypothetically.

Trump was elected for 2 reasons. 3 if you count his opponent.

1. The news machine went out of their way to be so obviously biased and obnoxious about their dishonesty, that people voted for Trump as a "screw you" gesture.

In fact, every day is a renewal of that rejection of Media hate speech. No one actually believes a news company's poll of Donald's unpopularity, and each day makes us more certain that CNN et al are no longer posturing ego-crats, but have slipped into deliberate evil.

2. People are so unhappy with the Party leadership, ( both Parties, but especially the Republicans ) that when the Party Establichement ( pun intended ) moved to destroy the not-one-of-us upstart, we voted for the screw you choice.

Thus. We have a President, that most people will admit, was elected as a middle finger at government, and government worshipers.

Now imagine Donald being assassinated by J. Garofalo, or dragged out of office by an Obama appointee in the Social Justice dept. for some minor thing like tweeting he's tired of the CIA leaking his plans to stop Kim from nuking LA. ( or having Russian Vodka in Trump Tower!! PROOF!!! )

Can you see actual Americans already in full screw you mode responding well to that?

To be fair to the nice liberal Koch brothers, who would you bribe to make America Better?

Or skip the bribe word. You are probably rich, and understand that if you want to put in a swimming pool you go to town hall to get a permit. You don't go to the drive in theater out in the country where land is cheap to discuss import taxes. You might prefer the diner on the corner for breakfast, but if you need to talk skyscraper construction you just have to suffer at the country club.

It sucks, but you don't get richer and help more people if you hang at the corner pizza parlor. You gotta make deals and influence people.

Now, me, I'm not rich, so I don't hang at the country club, and no one at the diner is going to take my sage advice on how to make N. Korea less crappy, or solve the energy problem and secure the future of mankind against asteroid strikes.

So I'm stuck with wishing for a small asteroid to hit the swamp and kill some of the alligators, since I'm not rich enough to go and convince them that a swamp with less muck would be good for me and them. ( in fact it's doubtful that without picking up the check at a restaurant where the drink tab is more than I make in a week that they will listen to any comments with the word "swamp" in them longer than to call security ) And I'm not crazy enough to think I can play Batman: the D.C. vigilante with any hope of accomplishing any good.

So yeah. The Swamp is giving us the finger. Vote against them. Or use your orbital death ray to conquer them. Then we can complain about you. ; )

That's all well and good but the system makes it near impossible for a "little guy" to even get into the political picture.

We can vote against the swamp creatures, sure.

Then what?

Who do we vote FOR, more swamp creatures? I don't see many "good guys" running for office...

Then run.

You have to ask people for money you won't pay back. Unless you are rich. Then you're not a little guy.

It's going to ruin months of your life just to run. Helps if you are in a job where they keep paying you on extended vacation. Like a law firm that will expect you to be more profitable later.

And you have to spend most of that time begging for money and giving short speeches that can't possibly get across the nuances of a complex world. Become a cartoon version of yourself. A shameless self promotion machine.

And if you win...... you will have explained to you that you will do as you're told or not only will you not get on any committees for their travel and income perks, but you'll get no help in reelection and be defeated in reelection by millions in party support for an opponent.

At state level you get paid extra to be on committees. Big bucks on top of getting paid more for part time work than most folk make with overtime. Federal level it's more power than cash. Plenty of that too.

Better yet is to get a gig as a swamp worker in middle management. No election crap, better pay, better union, almost can't get fired, even if you spend all day watching porn.
