It has long been a lie of the Left that Nazi is right.

Alt-right is another lie of the Left.

You even heard of alt-right before Hillary's campaign made it up?

There are a tiny group of idiots that to fill that ecological niche. Ask them if they ever heard the name before this last election. Volunteer Straw Men.

"You even heard of alt-right before Hillary's campaign made it up?"

Nope. That's why I put alt-right in quotes.

But the white supremacists immediately embraced the title, and that's what they're calling themselves these days.

When a child can be persecuted for eating a pop tart "wrong" and waving such a half eaten abomination around as a Terrorist, we've gone well past sanity and into deliberate domestic terrorism.

A t-shirt with a Minuteman holding a flintlock is now grounds for... what? Suspension? Tearing apart lockers? Pepper spray? A SWAT team and machine gun fire into the classroom or cafeteria by the assaulting forces?

No limits will be accepted by the Left. For a century they have tightened their grip on power, especially in the schools.

If a foreign government had imposed this system of education on the United States, we would rightfully consider it an act of war.

Glenn T. Seaborg, National Commission on Education, 1983

Some of us have known for decades how bad it was... now it's worse. Common Core contains direct Communist Propaganda. Children are told to not tell their parents what goes on in school, and asked to inform on their family if they have guns, speak less than glowingly about the Left, or support any verboten cause.

And everything goes into a database that Parents are utterly forbidden to access, but is available to Google, Microsoft, and their allies. ( Bill Gates is a Major supporter of Common Core )

You literally cannot be paranoid enough about this.

If someone did one of those in an MP5K style I might get one. The only one available has a double action only trigger. WRONG.

I literally dug this Sig light/laser out of the trash. It had a dead battery and the mounting plate was stripped out.The other day I decided to fix it. It was drilled for a larger fastener (which fits a picatinny slot solidly, unlike the original) and tapped the mounting plate.

It fits the VP9 snugly. It's kinda big and ugly but seems to work well enough.

They used to sell for $100-$150, so for the work involved, I'll take it. The fastener is perfect for the application. There's always one fastener that works in the pile.

These are the factory "luminescent" sights at work. They're quite bright for a minute.

Are they just luminescent or are they Tritium?
I put some Tritiums on my 9 Shield and they are pretty bright... always.

Went by the pawn shop yesterday and left with a Marlin 952(?) .22WMR so I can cycle thru that ammo faster.
The 5 shot American Arms pocket gun does't go thru ammo very fast.
Hate to have old ammo on the shelf.

Those are luminescent.

I've been tempted to get a 22 Mag...but it costs about the same as 9mm and can be hard to find.

Added a 9mm gas deflector to the 22. It lessens the gas wafting into the face...and looks freaking good.

I'm just shocked there's something pro police/pro armed citizen on CNN. I guess something has to break up the Trump hatefest/anti Trump hysteria.

The barrel on my AR 22 is going back. I can't get the thing to print better than 3-4" groups.

I tried the S&W 15-22 at the same 25yd distance and got a 5/8" ten shot group. It more in line with what one should expect from a non-match barrel/chamber.

Just like "science" and science.

My new barrel is inbound.

While waiting, one of these will be going on:

A little more tacticool and a stop for utilising forward sling pressure.

I have to say... That is a very clean & cool AR-pistol. ( and I'm not a fan of the genre ) I want to try that one! Very Hans Solo.

It's a matter of taste. Proportions. I like the look of the Mauser C96. I'm not offended by the magazine in front of the trigger guard look, so I suppose my indifference to AR-pistols has to do with the buffer tube solutions?

But that one looks balanced and proper. Where do you hook the sling? Single point?

Yes, single point.

The idea is some forward sling pressure helps stabilize the gun.

Walther makes this HK416 pistol that's a ready made solution, but they're hard to find.

So far I haven't really gotten along with this buffer less AR pistol. If this AFG doesn't make me get along with it I may just AOW it.

Rick,
Not sure I can say it without sounding offensive so I'll just ask.
In defensive, offensive or sport shooting what is the use of what we used to call "spray and pray" guns?

Not spraying. Not Hollywood writer's imagination.

Precision, accuracy, ( 2 different things ) and control.

As an example, I had a SKS with scout scope mounted and loved to target shoot with it at ranges of about a football field.

The SKS was a military carbine made in the Soviet Union and Red China, and given in the millions to revolutionary terrorists. They are stashed in huts all over the planet.

So the attraction there is using a historical weapon of the enemies of western civilization as a target gun that uses reasonably cheap ammo. ( cheaper ammo, more practice )

The "spray and pray" meme is from decades of fighting Arab, African & other Third world Revolutionary militias with poor training and the stupid habit of shooting machine guns from the hip, like they saw in movies. Without actually even knowing how to aim.
That's the "spray" part. In Iraq & Afghanistan the troop's joke was the "pray" part. Allah will guide my bullets!

The term, "spray & pray" is from American troops fighting AQ and other terrorists around the world. I'm sure the Brits have a classier term for the action. : )

Short form.

It's not the guns. That's propaganda.
It's the human who uses them.

The term "spray & pray" is also a cultural appropriation from American soldiers taken by leftist pundits who want to sound cool. ; )

What gun are you referring to?

The Walther HK416 pictured above and the two "pistols" pictured above that are good examples.

None of them has an advantage over a carbine, rifle or true pistol.

Spray and pray does not necessarily refer to auto fire. It refers to throwing large numbers of rounds down range and hoping you will hit something significant without too much collateral damage.

I served with guys who could empty a thirty round magazine and not hit a trash can it they were in it!
The term "spray an pray" was coined long ago.

I prefer my carbine and rifle length ARs to AR "pistols".
For close work I prefer a 9mm Beretta 92 or some of the compacts.

Offensive fire is just what it sounds like.

Sorry to be so long winded.

As a "not a big fan of the genre" I almost agree with you.

I'm also not a fan at all of "cruiser" type pistol gripped shotguns. I suck with one.

I have no problem with others enjoying stuff I don't want.

I'll let others explain the attraction, but I can address part of the Why they are popular.

It's the silly laws written for the last 80 plus years. A carbine with a short enough barrel to fit comfortably in your car costs federal tax money, federal paperwork, and is illegal in some places even with the federal paperwork and taxes paid.

However, a pistol has different, in some places easier, paperwork to fill out and permits to get. Thus we have pistols that use rifle type actions, to fill a need blocked by poorly thought out laws.

Why are SUV's popular? Because they didn't need to fit the regulations for Station wagons. Silly laws lead to silly solutions.

I built an AR pistol because it's dimensions are the same as the GAU-5 I carried. Mine has 1 1/2" more barrel length because it doesn't have the suppressor on it. Just what it needs to get the round up to 27-2900 fps. Now I have a familiar friend, like I trained with. The bonus is the regulations it fits with-in.
