EXCELLENT post Aesquire!.. kudos to JP for "putting it all together"

Wow, and another THANK YOU for an excellent article about the DC ball and chain.

This is some real deep thinking!

I like this one statement on the bottom...
Freedom is not free. Free men are not equal. Equal men are not free. One of the best ways I've ever heard it said.

The anti-Trump & former anti-Bush leaks have gone past treason to America ( revealing the President asked for military options on Iran while they were sending jihadists and bombs to kill our troops and Iraqi civilians ) to deliberately ruining foreign relations. ( Manchester attack shared intelligence )

The only cure I see is to fire every member of the Justice department & Intel services hired during the Clinton & Obama years..... and most from Bush the Younger's.

This would gut the intel services. Not an easy thing to repair. The DOJ actually would thrive on such a purge.

I have no faith the traitorous scum will be found at all.

Yet Barry managed to crack down on leaks, perhaps a study of suicides in the Intel community would inform us of unconventional ways.

I think that's the biggest issue. These self-righteous leakers aren't hurting the Trump administration...they're hurting America, and increasing the potential for the loss of innocent human lives.

And they're too dumb (or too arrogant) to understand that the blood of those people will be on their hands.

Yes, I agree that human rights are important. But there need to be priorities, as in any scenario or situation. Right now, extremists (who happen to be Islamist for the most part, even though the press is afraid to state that fact for fear of "offending" someone) are killing innocent people - and CHILDREN - at soft targets around the globe. THAT needs to be the priority, because if you can't keep people alive...well, their "human rights" aren't worth a whole hell of a lot, are they?

In the case of the leaks about Bush asking for plans to stop Iran, the death toll is in the tens of thousands of Iranians alone. Between the two presidential candidates in the last fake Iranian election they are known to have ordered the murder of more than 33,000 citizens. The death toll among Iraqis and folk in Yemen is higher yet. American troops and contractors?

All that blood is on the hands of violators of sworn oaths not to spill secret information.

The motive of disagreement with presidential policy is righteous if you resign in protest. Not leaking classified info leading to keeping a dictatorship in power and prolonging our involvement in Iraq.

There is conscience and there is treason. The actions of these leakers is far over that line no matter how blurred it may seem.

America produces the best weapons in the world. Fact.

Most western industrialized nations follow similar models.

The U.S. is evil super bad doods failed nation narrative is the most ridiculous nonsense going around.

I have a Canadian brother in law telling me how bad we have it down here all the time.

...But it's really not...

Nothing will convince him otherwise. Bernie Sanders, Democratic Socialists, and Democratic Underground, and the ever non partisan, non biased, trusted, reliable mainstream media are giving him the true scoop.

...and as noted in the article above (just like I said weeks ago):

THE US CONSTITUTION ONLY APPLIES TO U.S. CITIZENS.

Your "constitutional rights", if you are Arab, Canadian, Mexican, Syrian, Irish, or from ANY other nation on earth are...precisely....ZERO.

I can't wait till the Supreme Court reminds these meatballs about the law on the books that says the President CAN stop any person or group of persons whom he sees as a threat to the safety of the American people.

The law that was penned under a democrat government. And has been used as recently as 1979, by a DEMOCRAT president.

The courts disagree. The constitution affirms and protects our God given natural rights. Those apply to all people, not just citizens.

God-given rights are one thing.

Danger to nation and citizens is another.

The right to kill and maim innocent citizens and children is NOT a God-given right. And the President (that is, the office - not the person) has the constitutional right to protect his country, and his citizens. He's REQUIRED, actually, to protect them from "all threats, foreign and domestic". It's in the oath of office that ALL elected officials take. And by upholding that promise of protection, he is providing the God-given right of peace and safety to all his sworn citizens.

Leaders of other countries have the same job as this - protect their people. And that is the appeal Trump made to the middle East and to Europe. "Do your job, protect your people; we need to come together to stop the scourge that threatens ALL our nations". It's actually a pretty simple concept to anyone capable of independent thought.

Some of these "open border" morons need to take advantage of their ideas. Try to get into another country with no papers...let me know how that works out for you. And if you do get in, make it clear that you're an American.

Just make sure your affairs are in order before you do.

I don't think some Syrian in Syria has any US Constitutional rights. He has natural rights that, of course, Assad, the mullahs, and the Russkies are happy to suppress.

According to the supreme court, all of the inalienable rights secured by (not granted by) the constitution apply to all people, citizen or not. I'm not disagreeing that there is no right to come to America...never said that. But the blanket statement that only US citizens have constitutional rights is simply false.

Since Angela is an authoritarian who is left of Bernie.... I'm proud Donald angered her.

Merkel is a product of the East German Communist Party puppet government. She's learned to play the game in united Germany but her heart, & actions, reflect the traditional shoot you in the back of the neck if you disagree dictatorship she grew to power with.

No comparison to the ivy league feminist liar Hillary. Angela may be as corrupt, in her own way, but she's no protected frail fake. Angela is truly the She Wolf from the '50's Nazi women's prison movies.

Hillary is the professional victim who imagines herself the star in her nightmare version of Sucker Punch.

I'm just glad the world dodged a bullet when the most unqualified, corrupt, dishonest, person on the planet lost. Sure, Donald is horrible. Imagine Hillary going to Saudi Arabia, where their only question would be, "we paid you, where's our payback?" Followed shortly by an all out bombing campaign against the Saudi Prince's enemies by U.S. forces and the typical Clinton lies about it.

Maybe Hillary would bomb more bridges on the Danube. Or overthrow Poland and hand it to Putin.

If Hillary had been in charge in WW2 Europe would speak Russian. If she'd succeeded in stealing this last election she'd have watched the May Day parade in Moscow like Castro. Abortion would be mandatory, especially for Bill's underage statutory rape victims.

Or maybe the people that lied to you about Libya and Egypt and Iraq and Syria would suddenly change religion to one that doesn't reward lies.

Nah, that's a fantasy.

IMHO Hillary would only have delayed this same fake news reality by only 4 years. Donald had been quietly researching running for many years and had deduced that there was broad untapped sentiment which he could use. The race was very close and it was unlikely the demographics would change much. Not saying the net effect is any better, but this likely was inevitable by someone else, if not Trump. The opportunity was there and it was wide open and Hillary and Obama did not see it or else fatally underestimated it.

With Hillary in office many of his campaign lines would likely have been better and more effective and could have gone on for 4 years rather than just 1.

We will just have to come to some agreement in 4 and 8 years about what our mistakes even are before we can effectively fix them.

Maybe then they'll be fixed in twenty years when the political climate is entirely different.

A new Mattis quote

“What keeps you awake at night?” CBS “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson asked Mattis.

“Nothing,” a stonefaced Mattis responded. “I keep other people awake at night.”
