But, but, but, but....it was so much easier being a hypocrite than a truth reporting media outlet!!!

Fact is I am more "anti-idiot" than "pro-Trump"

+1

And I think you can add anti-$Hillary to that.
Oops, that was redundant.

In British terms a labor government is by nature suicidal.

New York Times Publishes Tax Returns of a Private Citizen, in Shallow Attempt To Assist Hillary Clinton
By Sundance, Oct. 2, 2016

The New York Times has published part of the tax returns of a private citizen in an effort to score political points for a candidate they endorse, Hillary Clinton. That should be the real headline people pause and think about.

The front pages of the tax returns themselves are essentially a non-issue, representing the 1995 gross business loss incurred by candidate Donald Trump who operates a massive conglomeration of business entities.

The anti-Trump political angle is easily identifiable within the extensive article use of: “could have”, “might be”, “may have”, phrases used throughout the woven narrative. Journalistic “narratives” are rarely based on facts.

The identified $916 million single year operating income loss is no different than current losses of Amazon, Facebook, Twitter and a host of other corporations and businesses.

Actually, Donald Trump’s 1995 loss is smaller than the operating loss the New York Times reported when it sold the Boston Globe in 2013 for a net loss of $1.03 billion.

The Times purchased the Boston Globe in ’93 for $1.1 billion and sold it in 2013 for $70 million, a loss of $1.03 billion. However, for some reason it’s doubtful the Times will publish their own 2013 tax returns. That doesn’t meet the political need.

Despite the best protestations of the Hillary Clinton campaign, there’s nothing dramatic about the Donald Trump tax returns. The only thing illegal or unethical is the illegal nature and unethical mindset of the media outlet who published them.

Against the backdrop of weaponized federal governmental agencies already admitting they have targeted private citizens they considered political opponents, the gleeful willingness of the Clinton campaign to push the New York Times Trump-tax non-story is brutally tone deaf and most likely to backfire.

Just imagine what a Hillary Clinton administration would do to their political opposition with a weaponized cabinet filled with intensely unstable and rabid ideologues.

The vast majority of Americans just don’t like, appreciate or condone the publication of legally bound private information, especially tax filings. The willingness of the New York Times to publish them, and the willingness of the Clinton campaign to exploit them, says more about the ideology of those entities than it does about Donald Trump’s business interests.

The Trump Campaign Responds:

quote:

- October 01, 2016 -

Trump Campaign Statement

"The only news here is that the more than 20-year-old alleged tax document was illegally obtained, a further demonstration that the New York Times, like establishment media in general, is an extension of the Clinton Campaign, the Democratic Party and their global special interests. What is happening now with the FBI and DOJ on Hillary Clinton's emails and illegal server, including her many lies and her lies to Congress are worse than what took place in the administration of Richard Nixon - and far more illegal.

"Mr. Trump is a highly-skilled businessman who has a fiduciary responsibility to his business, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required. That being said, Mr. Trump has paid hundreds of millions of dollars in property taxes, sales and excise taxes, real estate taxes, city taxes, state taxes, employee taxes and federal taxes, along with very substantial charitable contributions. Mr. Trump knows the tax code far better than anyone who has ever run for President and he is the only one that knows how to fix it.

"The incredible skills Mr. Trump has shown in building his business are the skills we need to rebuild this country. Hillary Clinton is a corrupt public official who violated federal law, Donald Trump is an extraordinarily successful private businessman who followed the law and created tens of thousands of jobs for Americans."

Several comments culled from the 'net re: above:

quote:

As a CPA, I am appalled at the poor understanding of net operating losses (NOL) by the press (all English majors, I presume). Generally speaking, a NOL is a net business loss on a corporate or individual tax return that causes the overall net income to be negative. This negative amount can be carried back to the second preceding year to recalculate the taxable income of that year, as if the loss were incurred previously. Any amount not used in the second preceding year is carried forward to the next year, and can be carried forward for 20 years. So in Mr. Trump's case, the $900M loss from 1995 would have been applied to the 1993 year. Any remaining amount would be used to offset income in 1994, then 1996 and future years until used up. To presume that the loss would have kept Mr. Trump from paying taxes for 18 years presents either a poor understanding of tax arithmetic or a deliberate attempt to portray Mr. Trump as a tax dodger. U. S. Court of Appeals Judge Learned Hand said in the 1920's that there is nothing sinister about so arranging one's affairs to minimize taxes. Taxation is not a voluntary contribution, it is an exaction against the populace!

quote:

I've seen a lot of headlines about Trump not paying taxes for 18 years. As an accountant, I believe this is a case of reporters either not understanding tax carry-forward periods or purposefully conflating carry-forward periods with the period over which Trump has supposedly not paid taxes. Let me explain:

A tax loss can be carried back and offset against prior years taxable income (resulting in a refund of previously paid taxes) and/or carried forward and used as an offset against future taxable income (resulting in a reduced tax payment in future tax reporting years).

You can carry a tax loss back 2 years (i.e., offset the tax loss against the prior two years taxable income and get a refund for any taxes paid), and then carry any remaining loss forward for 20 years (i.e., use the tax loss to offset against taxes payable in any future years within 20 years).

Let's say you report a tax loss for 2016 of $100,000. If you had taxable income in 2015 of $100,000, you would carry the entire current loss back to 2015 and get a refund for taxes paid in 2015. Now lets assume you had taxable income in 2015 of $45,000 instead of $100,000. You would carry back $45,000 of the 2016 tax loss and carry forward $55,000 to future years. If in 2017, you had taxable income of $125,000, you would use the entire $55,000 tax loss carry forward from 2016 and owe taxes on the remaining income of $70,000 ($125,000 taxable income - $55,000 tax loss carry forward).

The media is reporting that Trump didn't pay taxes for 18 years based on the flawed logic of hearing that a tax loss could be carried forward and assuming that the tax loss WAS carried forward and not consumed within a period shorter than the maximum carry forward period. In other words, "he could have carried it forward for X years, therefore he didn't pay any taxes for that entire period."

In truth, his tax loss may have been used within a much shorter period. We just don't know at this point. Nonetheless, it bothers me to hear the media claim he hasn't paid taxes in 18 years.

And this is very standard stuff in the tax code. Only a fool would pay more in taxes than the tax rules require.

And today we're not talking bout how Hillary's unsecured illegal server may have caused the deaths of an unknown number of friendly forces.

And not talking about eh 30,000 odd felony counts from destroying government documents under subpoena.

Or the felony counts concerning illegal handling of classifies documents.

Or the FBI director who refuses to indict Hillary for her publicly confessed felonies, & who got 6 million dollars from a Clinton Fund donor.

or the lies by Hillary told about everything from her name, to sniper fire, to Benghazi to the parents of our honored dead.

What will this week bring? Donald was mean to a kitten?

So we won't hear how Bill has naked pool parties with teenage interns on the roof of the Clinton Library.

Donald Trump’s Incredible Speech in Loveland Colorado: “The Impossible Is Our Starting Point”
By Sundance, Oct. 3. 2016

Donald Trump delivered an incredibly inspiring speech tonight in Loveland Colorado. Well over 15,000 supporters arrived to hear the speech. The crowd broke every record for the venue and the overflow crowd in the thousands outside watched the speech live on a jumbotron screen.

In a key part of the speech Mr. Trump discussed the business challenges in the mid-90’s, and directly addressed today’s critics who are using a leaked 1995 partial tax return to attack his candidacy.

Candidate Trump’s speech directly discusses the issues head on, owning every potential downside, spin and critique. Trump then uses the critical content to outline his inherent nature to never give up, and a promise to fight for all Americans. It really is a stunningly well articulated and delivered speech (excerpt video below):

Donald J. Trump Remarks In Loveland, CO

**REMARKS AS PREPARED FOR DELIVERY**

Thank you, it is so great to be here today in Larimer County, and in the beautiful state of Colorado.

On November 8th, we are going to win this state and we are going to win back the White House.

Remember to mail in your ballots by Election Day – they should arrive at your homes around October 20th.

Get your friends, get your family, get your coworkers, visit our website, and enlist every last person. Get those ballots in.

As long as we are talking about winning, I want to congratulate the Denver Broncos on their undefeated start to the season.

I also want to recognize the most amazing people of them all, the incredible men and women of the United States military.

Colorado is home to six military bases. We are going to eliminate the defense sequester, rebuild our military, and take care of our Veterans.

Another great Colorado legacy is hunting and fishing. We are going to conserve your land for future generations, and we are going to save the 2nd amendment.

One other issue of such great importance in Colorado is energy. Hillary Clinton wants to shut down the mines. She also wants to shut down shale energy production, denying you billions of dollars in wealth and job creation. Remember, it was Hillary Clinton who said: “y the time we get through all of my conditions, I do not think there will be many places in America where fracking will continue to take place.”

She also wants to shut down oil and natural gas production. Her anti-energy policies will take millions of jobs from Colorado, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and so many other states.

We are going to end Hillary Clinton’s war on Colorado energy, and we are going to put the miners back to work.

While my opponent focuses on small and petty things, we are discussing the vital issues facing our country and our people.

We are going to talk borders. We are going to talk trade, and jobs, and refugees. We are going to talk about crime, and failing schools, and how to turn our country around.

Hillary can’t discuss the issues because she’s the one who helped to create all of these problems in the first place. All she can do is accuse the country of racism, attack Trump voters and Bernie voters, and do everything she can to distract from the issues and her enormous corruption and criminal conduct – a campaign of distraction funded by Wall Street investors and Hedge fund managers. These special interests are counting on Hillary to keep rigging the system as she’s done her whole career.

All that stands between you and the country you want are Hillary Clinton’s special interests – and all you have to do to beat those special interests is mail in those ballots.

I have made a centerpiece of my economic revitalization plan the largest middle class tax cut since Ronald Reagan – and the largest regulatory reform in American history.

I’ve been saying from the beginning of this campaign how ridiculous, complex and yes, unfair, our tax system is. This is not the fault of the IRS, but the political class that is owned outright by the special interests and lobbyists.

It is these politicians who write, and amend, the tax code at the behest of their favored donors and special interests.

Many so-called experts, due to the sheer size and complexity of the code, don’t have a clue what these pages represent.

The unfairness of the tax laws is unbelievable, it’s something I’ve been talking about for a long time – despite being a beneficiary.

I understand the tax laws better than almost anyone, which is why I am the one who can fix them – and that is what I commit to doing.

As a businessperson, I have legally used the tax laws to my benefit, and to the benefit of my company, my investors, and my employees.

As a major real estate developer in this country, and throughout the world, I face enormous taxes: city taxes, state taxes, sales and excise taxes, employee taxes, and federal taxes. It’s my job to minimize the overall tax burden to the greatest extent possible – which allows me to reinvest in neighborhoods, workers, and build amazing properties which fuel tremendous growth in their communities.

The news media is now obsessed with an alleged tax filing from the 1990’s, at the end of one of the most brutal economic downturns in our country’s history.

The conditions facing real estate developers in the early nineties were almost as bad as the Great Depression of 1929 and far worse than the Great Recession of 2008.

What had been a booming economy in the era of Ronald Reagan changed dramatically – and the business landscape changed with it: Bank failures, the collapse of the Savings & Loan industry, and the implosion of the retail market, and real estate in general.

Many business people, including many of my competitors, were not able to survive. Companies, jobs, and opportunities were lost – and lives were destroyed, as tens of thousands of people were put out of work.

Yet today, my company is bigger, stronger, with far greater assets, and more premium properties, than ever before.

That did not happen by chance or luck – it happened by action, and talent.

I was able to use the tax laws of this country, and my skills as a businessperson, to dig out of this real estate depression when few others did. In those most difficult times, when so many had their backs to the wall, I reached within myself and delivered for my company, my employees, my family and the communities where my properties existed.

During the early nineties, as companies were collapsing left and right, the media and powers that be said Donald Trump could never make it back. They said I had billions of dollars in borrowing, and hundreds of millions in personal guarantees, and no pathway out.

But, I never had any doubts and never gave up.

That’s because I knew in my heart that when the chips are down is when I perform at my very best.

The reason I never felt endangered during the real estate downturn, was that I knew myself, I knew my business, I knew the financial system, I knew the tax code and, most importantly, I knew how to fight. That’s what I am – a fighter, and I am now going to fight for you.

In the early 90’s, they splashed the front pages with stories about how I was finished. Everybody said that I was done – there were front page articles in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. They were thrilled and delighted to write these negative stories.

So they said I was finished. The only person who didn’t think that I was in trouble was Donald Trump.

I started my company with a small loan and, as I grew, I borrowed money to grow the company. When the bottom fell out of the Real Estate market, I had all the debt, it stayed the same – but the value of the assets plummeted. But I knew how to use the tax code to rebuild my company when others did not.

My understanding of the tax code gave me a big advantage over those who didn’t have a clue, including many of my competitors who lost everything they had, never to be heard from again.

Now, they’re gone, and I’m here and I’m ready to turn things around for this country.

The early 90’s was a very tough time for the world, but in tough times you need tough people.

These are tough times for America today, and we need tough leaders.

These tough times were when I performed my very best. The economy and banks collapsing, the government was a mess – but I enjoyed waking up every day to go to battle. I enjoyed getting up every morning to take on the financial establishment on behalf of my company and win.

I know how to make a comeback.

That’s the thinking we need for our country – that’s the thinking we need when we are negotiating trade deals, and military deals, and economic deals on behalf of the American people.

Put me into the boardroom as YOUR representative, and I will deliver for you. Hillary Clinton is in it only for herself and her donors. I am here fighting for America.

When the pressure is on, when the odds are stacked against me, when people say it can’t be done – that’s when I am just getting started.

The thing that motivates me the most is when people tell me – tell US –that something is impossible. For me, impossible is just a starting point.

From the depths of that terrible real estate depression, I created a company worth billions and billions of dollars and created tens of thousands of jobs. Our company, and our employees, remade skylines, revitalized neighborhoods, rejuvenated communities, and hired thousands of workers.

On November 8th, America’s comeback begins – and we are going to rise up from our present challenges bigger and better and stronger than ever before.

Those who spend their entire lives within the confines of government work, and who know virtually nothing of business, fail to understand the skill, dedication, and sheer grit it takes for a company to climb out of an economic depression of the scale we had in the early nineties. People like my opponent Hillary Clinton, whose only method of making money is by selling government favors and granting access to special interests, know nothing about how businesses succeed and grow. Hillary Clinton has never created a single job in her entire life – or added a single dollar of value to the American economy. Hillary Clinton hasn’t made an honest dollar in her entire life – all she does is take from you, from our country, and peddles influence to donors, special interests, and foreign actors – for astronomical dollars and like never before. It’s corruption of the highest order.

While I made my money as a highly-successful private businessman following the law, Hillary Clinton made her money as a corrupt public official breaking the law and putting her government office up for sale.

By her own account, Hillary Clinton left the White House dead broke, and now she and her husband have made more than $200 million dollars – without building a company, or creating a single thing of value.

That is why I am here today. That is why I have left private business for public life – because I understand our country is in bad shape and needs to be turned around fast.

We owe $20 trillion dollars in debt – doubled under Obama – and we run massive trade deficits on an annual basis, now almost $800 billion a year.

We have decaying infrastructure, failing schools, rising crime, a depleted military, an open border, and an economy that can’t create full-time high-paying jobs. We are a divided nation, and each week it seems we are getting more and more divided, with race riots in our streets on a monthly basis.

This is not the America that was handed down to us, and it’s not the America we want for our children. But this is the America we will have – if we don’t make a change in leadership RIGHT NOW.

The failed political establishment must go – it must go for the sake of your country, your future, and those you love the most.

The people of Colorado know what it takes to rebuild this country.

This is a state with a rich immigrant history, and a rich Latino history. Though you hail from all regions of the world, you are united by this one thing: You are all Americans.

And, as Americans, you are entitled to the same protections as every other American. Everyone lawfully living inside our borders are entitled to the same things: safe communities, a great education, and access to high-paying jobs.

This is the change I will deliver. Hillary Clinton has been there for 30 years and delivered nothing but failure. Her policies have brought death and destruction overseas, and poverty at home. She also put Iran on the path to Nuclear weapons, and on the path to a massive infusion of cash and resources– including the lifting of sanctions on banks used to finance their missile program.

In America, she’s brought massive poverty for everyone, but especially African-American and Hispanic Citizens.

She’s turned a blind eye to rising crime, and has no solutions for the suffering people in Chicago, and Baltimore, and all across our nation. Instead, she attacks the police.

She opposes school choice, and wants to trap poor African-American and Hispanic children in failing government schools – because she wants the money from the teachers’ union.

Hillary Clinton supports Obamacare, and wants to expand it – Obamacare is an absolute disaster. Premiums in Colorado are set to go up another 20 percent – the only way to stop this disaster is to vote Trump.

Hillary Clinton also supports the terrible trade deals, like Bill Clinton’s NAFTA and China’s entry into the World Trade Organization – and next she wants the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the deal she calls the “Gold Standard.”

Colorado has lost more than 1 in 7 manufacturing jobs since the NAFTA and China deals.

But while you’ve lost out, Hillary Clinton has raked in cash from her contributors. She and Bill have made $150 million in speeches to special interests. They gave 39 speeches to Big Banks, including $2 million in speaking fees from Goldman Sachs. And never forget Hillary’s deal that allowed Russia to get 20% of America’s uranium.

To hide her corruption, Hillary Clinton put her emails on an illegal secret server open to foreign hacking. Then she deleted and bleached 33,000 emails – after a congressional subpoena -- to hide them from the public. She lies to Congress, under oath, and her staffers took the fifth amendment and got immunity deals. It’s worse than Watergate.

The investigation of Hillary Clinton was rigged, and it’s a shame, and it’s one of the saddest things that have ever taken place in our nation.

We have become a Banana Republic.

Now, today, we learned, that the FBI made a side deal with Clinton’s top aides to DESTROY their laptops.

Hillary Clinton is the ringleader of a criminal enterprise that has corrupted our government at the highest levels, and the American people have one chance to stop it – by showing up and voting on November 8th.

People have had it with the years, the decades of Clinton Corruption.

Now, another issue I want to address today is immigration. Colorado is filled with wonderful hardworking immigrants. It is these hardworking immigrants who stand to lose the most from our open borders immigration policy.

Illegal immigration, and broken visa programs, take jobs directly from Hispanic workers living here lawfully today.

Illegal immigration also brings with it massive crime, and massive drugs – including a terrible heroin problem right here in Colorado.

We are going to build a border wall, and we are going to stop the drugs, gangs and the violence from pouring into Colorado.

We are going to shut down the Sanctuary Cities that have led to the preventable deaths of so many.

Cases like Kate Steinle, murdered in San Francisco by a 5-time deported illegal immigrant.

Or cases like Sarah Root, killed by an illegal immigrant released at the border by President Obama – and then released again after the killing.

Or cases like Marilyn Pharis. Marilyn was a 64-yeard old Air Force Veteran, who was sexually assaulted and beaten to death with a hammer. Her killer had been arrested on multiple occasions, but was never deported.

There are over 2 million criminal aliens in this county, and we are going to get them out – and we are going to get them out quickly.

To the cartels, the gangs, the drug dealers, I have a simple message for you: your days are numbered, and your reign of crime will soon come crashing to an end.

We also have to keep our country safe from terrorism. The terrorists who planted the bombs in New York and Jersey, and who carried out the mall stabbing in Minnesota, were foreign nationals admitted into our country – as was the mall shooter in Washington.

Or look at cases like the Boston Bombers, here on asylum, or the San Bernardino Shooter, here on a fiancé visa from Saudi Arabia. Or the Orlando shooter, the son of a Taliban supporter from Afghanistan.

Terrorists are infiltrating our country.

Now, Hillary Clinton wants a 550% increase in Syrian refugees and countless more refugees from across the Middle East.

I want to keep you and your family safe.

My job is not to represent foreign countries. My job is to represent the citizens of the United States of America – putting your jobs, your wages, and your security first.

If you are living in the United States today as a lawful resident or U.S. citizen, I will ensure you have a safe community, rising wages, and an immigration system that protects your jobs.

Here are some more things we will do starting in 2017 –

We are going to lower your taxes; eliminate every unnecessary regulation; end common core and provide school choice; repeal and replace job-killing Obamacare; make childcare affordable; save the 2nd amendment; support the men and women of law enforcement; and appoint Justices to the Supreme Court who will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.

We are going to rebuild America.

We are going to revitalize America.

And we are going to unite America.

Imagine what our country could accomplish if we started working together as One People, under One God, saluting One American Flag.

Together, We Will Make America Wealthy Again.

We Will Make America Strong Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again.

And We Will Make America Great Again.

Thank you, and God Bless!

Donald J. Trump Discusses His America First Energy Plan with Oil and Gas Leaders in Colorado

NEW YORK, NY - Today, Donald J. Trump led a roundtable discussion with oil and gas leaders in Colorado. During the meeting, Mr. Trump discussed his vision to put America energy first, create millions of new jobs and make the U.S. energy independent.

“Mr. Trump has outlined a bold, visionary plan for an American energy renaissance. By comparison, Hillary Clinton’s so-called plan is to carry out Obama’s war on coal, which will drive up our energy rates and kill high-paying jobs. The Trump Administration will not be in the business of government picking winners and losers. We need to allow the free market and the innovative spirit of the American people to produce the new energy technologies of tomorrow and encourage America’s energy independence.” - Jason Miller, Senior Communications Advisor

Donald Trump’s America First Energy Plan:

•The Trump energy policy will make us energy independent, create millions of new jobs, and protect clean air and clean water. We have one of the world’s most diverse resource bases – from abundant coal, oil, and natural gas to geothermal, solar, and wind. We are also the world's leader in energy technologies like nuclear power.

•The United States will become the world's dominant leader in energy production. The first step will to undo the damage of the last 8 years. By 2030, the Obama-Clinton energy restrictions will eliminate another half a million manufacturing jobs, reduce economic output by $2.5 trillion, and reduce incomes by $7,000 per person.

•The Trump Administration will unleash an energy revolution that will bring vast new wealth to our country. We will support coal production. We will support safe hydraulic fracturing. We will allow energy production on federal lands in appropriate areas. We will also open up vast areas of our offshore energy resources for safe production.

•Lifting unnecessary restrictions on all sources of American energy (such as coal and onshore and offshore oil and gas) will (a) increase GDP by more than $100 billion annually, add over 500,000 new jobs annually, and increase annual wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years; (b) increase federal, state, and local tax revenues by almost $6 trillion over 4 decades; and (c) increase total economic activity by more than $20 trillion over the next 40 years.

"When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over and you’re strong and you can handle it. But a lot of people can’t handle it. And they see horror stories. They see events that you couldn’t see in a movie, nobody would believe it."

What is wrong with that statement?

OK, I think I see where you're coming from. Looks like the MSM is attempting another hit on Trump, taking his comments out of context.

Lt. Col Allen West was one of the speakers at the event (Retired American Warriors PAC). Here's what I've been able to find:

quote:

I was at Trump’s speech today and what CNN is reporting is BULL***T
Allen West, Oct. 3, 2016

Ok, I was there, front row, attending the Donald Trump event with an audience of retired military leaders. The group was comprised of men and women who have served our nation in combat duty from World War II to the present. The event was originally supposed to be closed to the media, but the decision was made to open it up to the media. And of course, the media did not disappoint by spinning something out of nothing as the video shows of Mr. Trump speaking.

As reported by the Clinton News Network (CNN), “Donald Trump suggested Monday that American soldiers and veterans who commit suicide do so because they can’t handle the post-traumatic stress of war.

“When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat and they see things that maybe a lot of folks in this room have seen many times over and you’re strong and you can handle it but a lot of people can’t handle it. They see horror stories, they see events you couldn’t see in a movie, nobody would believe it,” Trump said Monday, during a panel interview at the Retired American Warriors PAC, in Herndon, Virginia.

Trump’s surrogates said the Republican nominee’s comments were taken out of context, and blamed the media for construing his words. Trump adviser and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn accused the media reporting on Trump’s comments of, acting as ” the propaganda arm of Hillary Clinton.”

“Mr. Trump was highlighting the challenges veterans face when returning home after serving their country. He has always respected the service and sacrifice of our military men and women—proposing reforms to Veteran Affairs to adequately address the various issues veterans face when they return home,” FLynn said in a statement. Trump senior adviser Sarah Huckabee Sanders also said his comments were taken out of context, adding that he was the only candidate in the race placing a strong emphasis on veterans.

“There’s a reason that hundreds of military leaders around the country have endorsed and signed on and said in that room today to express their support for Donald Trump,” she told CNN’s John Berman. The number of suicides and other grave effects from PTSD in the military has skyrocketed, causing alarm both inside the military and in the public at large.”

Ok, let me explain something to these liberal progressive media chuckleheads, having served in several combat zones myself. Yes, there are those who are able to deal with the rigors and challenges of combat better than others. That has been the case throughout the history of combat. To try and insinuate anything out of Mr. Trump’s comments other than what he said at face value is just evidence that he did well at the event — and the objective to find some bit of dirt had to be met.

What abject liars and deceivers these people are! On my salute hand, trigger finger, I wear the #22Kill.com ring, that signifies the 22 veterans on average who each day are taking their lives. Mr. Trump stated the obvious: that the challenges cast upon these young men and women by a system that lets them down seems too great to overcome.

I was recently asked to call a veteran and talk to him because he had spoken to his dear friend about suicide. I simply confided to the veteran to be strong, courageous and that we needed him to stay in the fight, take a knee for a moment of rest, but ruck up and I prayed for him. I got an email back that the simple call had enabled him to turn the corner.

The Apostle Paul wrote about this in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV), “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

We all have times of weakness, of stress, and for some we dig deeper and rise above it – and some find it more difficult.

But for the despicable “journalists” of CNN to try and make something of Mr. Trump’s statement represents the lowest of lows.

Why didn’t this article refer to the deplorable situation in our Veterans Administration system, especially with the scandals of Barack Obama, and how these men and women are being let down at their most vulnerable moment?

Why didn’t this article refer to Hillary Clinton speaking of the VA crisis and scandal as some manufactured issue by the GOP? Obama and Clinton are the heartless souls who couldn’t care less about our veterans — but corrupt accomplices at the liberal progressive media will do anything to save Obama and Clinton, and create a chasm between veterans and Donald Trump.

I was there, and Trump’s statement didn’t elicit any response from us, the audience of retired combat veterans. We saw him as someone concerned about the horrific treatment of our men and women in uniform, the deplorable state of our military, and the insidious ideological social agenda being cast upon our military by a president who cannot define our enemy, militant Islamic terrorism. CNN has shown their bias, as if we thought anything different.

There are those who’ve raised their right hand to serve and protect this nation, and some do find it hard to cope with the aftermath of combat. And they need help, not the dismissal and disregard as Obama and Clinton have shown. Yes, there are those of us for whom combat does not affect, we find our strength to cope, but when we have a VA system that puts veterans’ suffering at a moment of weakness on hold, or over-medicates them – that’s the real story, which CNN has no interest in covering.

This story is deceitful and should not be regarded whatsoever. It’s apparent that Donald Trump isn’t just running against Hillary Clinton…he’s running against the progressive socialist machine, and that includes the Alinksy spin masters at CNN.

“I think it’s sickening that anyone would twist Mr. Trump’s comments to me in order to pursue a political agenda. I took his comments to be thoughtful and understanding of the struggles many veterans have, and I believe he is committed to helping them. The nature of my question focused on a broken system that’s failing so many of our veterans and, as president, would Mr. Trump take a more holistic approach to health care for veterans. I interpreted his answer to affirm that the system is broken and he would take the necessary steps to address it. After eight combat tours in Afghanistan I came home and was diagnosed with PTSD, and I struggled with it. Since my own recovery I’ve been privileged to help 1100 veterans who have graduated from our program; none of whom have committed suicide since graduating. It’s a very important issue to me, which is why I was thankful for the opportunity to ask Mr. Trump about it directly.”

The Truth About Donald Trump’s Remarks to the Retired American Warriors PAC
By Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending Donald Trump’s remarks to the Retired American Warriors PAC. Trump appeared before a friendly crowd of about 125 leading veterans and was warmly received after introductory remarks by Marine Corps veteran Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and LTG Jerry Boykin (USA Ret), also speaking were Senator Jeff Sessions, Col. Allen West, David Barton and Gary Bauer.

Trump spoke for about 30 minutes and took questions posed by veterans ranging in rank from General to Sergeant. In the audience were veterans who served in World War II (one who later rose to the rank of General), one who had been a prisoner in the Hanoi Hilton and was tortured like John McCain and others who were simply concerned about the decline in America’s military readiness, values and culture.

Much as the establishment media would like to make Trump’s remarks to that distinguished assembly of veterans and retired military leaders out to be some sort of a “gaffe” the reality was entirely different.

Trump’s comment that some veterans have mental health problems because they “see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it…” have been taken entirely out of context by a hostile establishment media.

Trump's remark was part of a larger comment on how the U.S. needs stronger mental health initiatives for veterans to help those with post-traumatic stress disorder and other serious issues. "We're going to have a very, very robust, very, very robust, level of performance having to do with mental health," Trump said.

In the past, Trump has promised to ensure that each veteran gets timely access to health care when they need it through the VA or through private care.

The fact of the matter is that Mr. Trump was acknowledging first and foremost what an extraordinary assemblage of American military heroes and leaders was in the room and secondly something that everyone who is a veteran or has a veteran in their family already knows – that everyone handles the stress of combat and military service differently.

Some thrive, most endure and a few experience stress that they cannot endure and come home burdened to the point that they contemplate or commit suicide: Trump’s conclusion, “We are losing so many great people that can be taken care of if they have proper care" is the truth, not a “gaffe.”

While Trump stated that he would push for better mental health treatment for veterans that was hardly the focus of the meeting or his remarks – which were mainly about rebuilding the American military after eight years of devastation by Obama, Clinton and their anti-military allies on Capitol Hill.

Pense is getting slaughtered by Kaine in their debate. He's a milquetoast deferential gentleman cowing to a very well-prepared attack dog. Reminds me of John McCain. Pathetic, unprepared, leaving hordes of potential Clinton attack points on the table. He's constantly on the defensive.

Hasn't even mentioned Ben Ghazi. Tried to talk about the private email server scandal but was talked over by the moderator and Kaine.

Freaking disaster.

Not once yet has he put Kaine on the defensive.

I don't know Blake.
Kaine seems whiny and annoying and Pence seems 10X cooler and settled.
I'm waiting for Kaine to say Neener-neener.

They are both being horses asses trampling Elaine.

I looked at the BBC take and they said much the same, I'm watching it now only 15 minutes in...

I'd rate Pence as reciting the mantras ok but seems a bit like a salesman pitching a product with a preset script.

Kaine also is running a preset script, but is better at projecting indignation. Since his base is very into victim hood and virtue signalling, he is no doubt appealing to the base very well.

Since I'm NOT his base, I'm acutely aware of the dishonesty. And that his indignation is completely fake.

However, based on Kaine's history, AND this debate, I'd say that he, just like Hillary, is completely without shame when he lies.

I think He really does have the devout religious conviction that there is no such thing as sin when it comes to promoting the cause and taking power. The ends absolutely justify the means. I really feel that confronting him with proof of a falsehood would get not a flicker of conscience, not a millimeter of admitting that he's wrong.

These kind of people can cheerfully bull cheet you while taking a lie detector test. Call it a mental illness or self hypnosis, but they can disconnect their conscience from their actions.

And unlike a soldier who must do terrible violent acts, but has remorse, pays a price for his actions for the rest of his lives, I bet Kaine & Hillary have never lost sleep over anything they are guilty of.

Some religions consider this kind of psychology demonic. You can apply your take on that. I think it Inhuman.

And I cannot help but reflect on other leaders in history, with that sort of conviction, and lack of conscience.

And how many died because of them.

VP Debate Debrief – Petulant Kaine Exudes Instability During Vice-Presidential Debate Appearance
By Sundance, Oct. 5, 2016

A reminder. Senator Tim Kaine has only been together with his running mate Hillary Clinton one time since the DNC convention. They appeared together in Ohio on Labor Day (Sept 5th), that is the one and only time since the end of July.

That’s the reality backdrop for Kaines’ absolute failure to launch during the Vice-Presidential debate last night. And… if there’s one thing as certain as the sun rise in the east tomorrow, it’s the truism that when anything impedes Hillary Clinton’s mission to achieve the presidency they are immediately rebuked. Senator Tim Kaine better get a food taster ASAP. ( <– Not Kidding)

The first test of a presidency is who they select for a Vice Presidential running mate. The single most important characteristic in that role is “stability“.

The Vice-Presidential nominee cannot be that creepy/sketchy guy at the end of the bar who hits on your 20-year-old daughter…. or worse. Unfortunately, Senator Tim Kaine broke the cardinal rule: his behavior made the debate uncomfortable, weird and awkward.

To make matters even worse, Kaine’s petulance, arrogance and argumentative performance last night –constantly interrupting– reinforced a caricature of the Clinton ticket that already existed. An image of a nasty, vitriolic and ‘will-say-anything to gain political power for personal benefit‘ presidential campaign.

You can almost see/hear Hillary watching the debate with the ever-present legion of political sycophants and shrieking:

quote:

“that jackass, I only picked him because of Virginia and he screwed me"...

[Throws glass of thick water through flat screen TV] Paul Begala peeks from behind the potted plant and knows not to start the spin just yet. Everyone else heads for the exits. Huma hangs out in the kitchen monitoring the twitter meltdown on her phone.

Yikes !!

quote:

“why aren’t I fifty points ahead you might ask” !

But seriously. The Clinton team had a perfectly scripted plan of attack. The canned narrative was to wedge Pence in a corner and sell the VP-candidate as not defending Donald Trump.

Remember, they simply repeat the road map they learned from Alinsky: “Isolate, Ridicule, Marginalize”. To wit Kaine had one objective, focus on the “isolation” objective.

That’s why every response from Senator Kaine was trying to pit Governor Pence against running mate Donald Trump. The MSM had the reinforcing message toward that objective already written in their post debate script and teleprompters. What the MSM needed was a design narrative from the debate outcome where they could instantly refer to the plan and reinforce it.

However, Governor Pence artfully defended Trump; and not only defended the positions of the campaign, but factually embraced the campaign message as his own. In essence, Pence provided no daylight for the Alinsky wedge. Pence’s approach made the isolation angle impossible, although some MSM punditry (mostly CNN) did try to use it anyway.

Because Senator Kaine knew his entire objective was to create that wedge, he became increasingly belligerent when his various attempts therein were not working. Kaine’s desperation grew more visible, and as a direct consequence his creepy meter quotient increased exponentially. A massive stability failure.

Governor Mike Pence presented his positions and himself as abundantly loyal, thoughtful gracious, wise and exceptionally stable. Mike Pence is the guy you want as your neighbor. Perfect. The perfect characteristics needed in a Veep candidate.

Mike Pence could not have done better. No contest, he won the day.

Winners and losers from the vice-presidential debate
By Chris Cillizza, Washington Post, October 4 at 10:49 PM

Winners
* Mike Pence: From the very beginning, Pence was the more comfortable of the two men on the debate stage. Pence repeatedly turned to the camera when he answered questions, making clear he understood that the real audience wasn't in the room but watching on TV. The Indiana governor was calm, cool and collected throughout — a stark contrast to the fast-talking (and seemingly nervous) Kaine. Did Pence respond to Kaine's dozens of attacks on Donald Trump? Only sort of. What Pence seemed to be doing was making the case for Pence-ism, a, dare I say it, compassionate conservatism — a case for Pence 2020 or 2024...Win or lose next month, Pence did himself real good in the eyes of the Republican world on Tuesday night.

Losers
* Tim Kaine: Someone must have told the Virginia senator he needed to always be on his front foot in the debate, always be the aggressor. It didn't work. Kaine started the debate talking so quickly and trying to load so many Trump attacks into every answer that it made it virtually impossible to grasp any one attack. In the middle of the debate, Kaine seemed to relax into it — delivering an effective attack on Trump's comments on women. But that Kaine was the exception, not the rule. When he wasn't trying to stuff 10 pounds of attack in a five-pound bag in his answers, he was relentlessly interrupting Pence. Every single time Pence started to level an attack against Hillary Clinton, Kaine immediately began to talk over him. I'm not sure if that was on purpose or not, but it didn't come across well — at all. One glaring example: As Pence was recounting his personal experience on Sept. 11, 2001, Kaine interrupted to say, "I was in Virginia." Um, okay. Not a good look.

In simpler words, Mike Pence is cool, calm, collected, and reasoned. Tim Kaine is an attack dog and a putz.

I was surprised that the Soviet inspired Liberation Theology that Kaine has embraced, was not brought up.

I understand it better now . . . just returned from a high snoot // high snob inbred event in Manhattan with 3 media folks . . including Tom Brokaw who's grandkids attend the school . . and I learned that Trump folks are "part of the pool educated, low income Archie Bunker part of America".

Well . . .the goes my self-esteem right down the crapper.

These snobs presented a forum to "discuss the peculiar election" and spent 90 minutes hammering on Trump. I chalk it up to 50% jealously and 50% inbred high society snobbery that lives in fear of something or someone that they can't buy wresting control.

Assholes.

Very important to start . . at this point . . getting out the vote and making certain folks get to the polls.
