Pre-president Elect Donald Trump released a list of twelve Conservative Supreme Court potential nominees yesterday. Criminal Clinton will put anti-2A Leftists on the Court. Any vote or non-vote that is not for Donald Trump is a vote for Hillary Clinton. Are you really willing to risk it?

There has been chatter on Badweb about Feeding Trees. How about Feeding America first?

There has also been chatter about morality levels of people, yes? Donald Trump is admittedly a New York blowhard. Trump is guilty of mostly being a successful businessman who has provided thousands of jobs to women, black, and latino folks.

Trump is the kinda guy who says bad things to your face but good things behind your back. Youse got a problem with New York blowhards? Then you got a problem wid me and the 96th Street gang. ; )

chatter on Badweb about Feeding Trees

Not feeding, refreshing.

There is a big difference.

I have yet to see anything to convince me that Trump will not use his new found powers to take away my property, be it eminent domain or what have you.

My mind is open, but you will have to come with some kind of evidence to the contrary of my beliefs.

I usually find getting fed, refreshing.

I share your concerns but there is no choice at this point, To repeat, any vote or non-vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary Clinton. I hope Georgians and Texans can see this because Kalifornians certainly can not.

The Electoral College is stacked for Clinton which offends my safe space.

I disagree that not voting for Trump is a vote for Hillary. That statement implies intent.

The loaded response to that might be.."So you accidentally let Hillary win?" Or some other variation. I won't go there.

Keep in mind I don't like Donald either.

Yes. Your intentional decision not to fight the forces of satanic darkness ( Hillary ) by refusing to vote for the ego jerk pos who isn't openly allied with The Dark Side, is abandoning your obligation as a citizen.

No, it's not a Vote For Hillary. It is IMHO a mistake. It is surrendering to despair and it IS the desired and carefully cultivated result of the Hillary Machine.

Or in simple words. Don't fall for the pressure to not vote against Hillary.

Besides, as I often point out, the Conventions haven't happened yet.

All the polls are wrong. Why do people buy them as accurate when a radio psychic has a better record? I assume for the same reasons they call radio psychics. The willingness to believe nonsense overcomes rationality.

ALL the Hillary supporters suffer from that... and not a few Trump or Cruz or ..... supporters. ( except the lizard cold corrupt pros who support Hillary because she will make sure they get a piece of the action. They are not delusional at all )

So we have riots, arson, looting, and quite probably assassination to look forward to before November.

Mostly I don't like the "if Bush wins I'm moving to Canada" childish rants. They never do.

OTOH "I refuse to vote for Trump even if the opposition is a hellspawn vampiric lunatic..." Is nearly as dumb a statement. Childish, if justified, anger overcoming cold rational realpolitic.

Although I COMPLETELY understand and partially agree.

It's not you I am unhappy with. It's your momentary loss of control. ( and your stubbornness in not letting go... A trait I also share..... : ) )

And, I don't succumb to pressure from either side. I will submit to reason, but so far all we have had in this discussion are emotions.

I like waffles. Especially with butter and real maple syrup. Add a few slices of bacon or some good country sausage patties and it becomes nirvana for my taste buds.

Trump doesn't leave such a good taste in my mouth.
Then again, neither does Hillary.
Or any politician, now that I think about it.

Let's go back to tasty breakfast items.

I was a liberal way back when I was a kid... you know, ditching school, running from the cops, doing drugs and f***ing anything with a pulse.

Then I started having kids of my own, working for every penny, struggling and clawing and making it from nothing to something.

And I got conservative values, real quick.

I see myself in the Occupy crowd, Black Lives Matter, Che Guevara Fan Club, etc...

...yep, I see my 13 year old idiot self in those groups. And I see them as Hillary voters, yellow-dog Democrats, and yes... Trump fanatics.

If we're going to upset the apple cart, let's f***ing do it already, no more half stepping.

Bring on the real revolution.

'still waiting for somebody to tell me how Trump will be better than Hillary, other than "let's roll the dice, he can't be any worse..." '

See my previous post on the quality of judges Hillary will appoint. Trump, he says, and I believe him, will appoint conservatives. Besides...as many have pointed out...what choice do we have? We either get Hillary or The Donald. The uninformed (or malicious) masses have seen to that. A non vote for Trump is one fewer vote that Hillary has to overcome. You don't vote for Trump, you've giving Hillary a vote. Ideologically, no, but mathematically, yes, and that's what counts in an election.

OK Matt, I will tell you how Trump is better than Hillary.

When Trump is out feeding his own ego and wallet and violating the rule of law, just like Hillary would be doing, the media will actually cover it aggressively, and the department of justice will actually prosecute it.

I have little doubt that Trump is better than Hillary. Hootowl's point about judges and Repicheep's point about he media both make that very clear. The problem here is that Rick has come very close to nailing it with... True conservatives are a dying breed. America is on the precipice of becoming a European socialist nanny police state. The only thing I would argue about that is that we have already leaped from the precipice into the void of socialism. I hate to say this, but your choices are to try to make socialism work on a large scale for the first time in the history of the world, or revolution.

Since the math on socialism does not work, you can't make it work no matter how hard you try.

Even with that, you think Hillary would give up one penny of her bribe money to even the playing field with a poor person? Never happen.

Socialism/communism/collectivism has always been the scam used by those who want to rule like kings ( with a different name ) usually displacing the current aristocracy and putting themselves in charge.

Once in charge, rulers who's rule is based on lies are the most ruthless in keeping that power. They stole it, now they want to keep it, and if a million peasants die in the gulags, in forced labor camps, or, like in Vietnam, in bus accidents on the way to reeducation camps... it's still a win for the rulers.

We can't all be Norway. Oil rich, and defended against its hostile neighbor by the US. Their socialism is propped up by the capitalism of the US.

Look at Spain, Greece, etc. Heck, look at Venezuela. We warned them. Loudly and repeatedly. The 'free stuff' crowd shouted us down. It's a hard lesson, but they appear to be learning it. I will not be shouted down if that kind of Socialism comes to America.

I don't think so, because I changed once, not over and over again with the moons, tides, breezes, convenience, what have you.

Some cogent points are now being made here, valid arguments all. I suppose trying to make socialism work on the grand scale (we all know it won't) still leaves revolution as an option on the table after the fact...

BUT...

The longer we wait, the farther we must dig ourselves out of the hole. Bear in mind that in doing so, we must actually dump the dirt back into the hole where we currently stand. And we will get very dirty in the process.

Surrender of principals....

Yep. When have I ever had a candidate I agreed with across the board? never.

Not even for dog catcher.

I'm a Hawk, since Doves cause wars to happen when they could have been stopped with determination and a tiny show of force. Famously, the invasion of France, WW2, would have not happened when it did if a single platoon of French soldiers had held the bridge. The German Generals said even a single armed French policeman with an attitude would have stopped the invasion.

Doves make wars last longer and really up the casualty list on both sides. See Fallujah. There should never have been a second battle. I admit the Jacksonian emphasis on hitting hard and getting it over with can produce excessive enemy casualties.... but not if you have to do it over and over. The Jacksonian tendency to lose interest after beating the enemy also is problematic. Nonetheless, Hawk policies kill far less people than Dove policies. Every time.

I'm also a social liberal/libertarian. It's none of my business what you do unless it harms others, and it's none of your business, what I or others do, and it sure as heck isn't a bureaucrats business.

Note that the Greenies will eventually get around to demanding high performance motor vehicles be illegal.... for your own good. Bite me.

And since I understand statistics, and basic math, I am a fiscal conservative. You just can't run your life on a credit card unless you are planning on dying young, or committing fraud. Congress gets away with it, for a short time, because they don't have to pay. You do. And now NO ONE can pay, since every man women and child owes more than they make.... and it all falls down.

Feel free to mock me ( I know you will, enjoy ) for having an odd mix of ideals, but some stuff isn't black & white. And other stuff just is.

This whole bathroom business is a major scam.

Go to the one you want. If you are a predator, you should be prosecuted and handed over to Iranian Justice. Simple?

The dishonest way this subject is treated, by both sides, offends me.

From a purely practical point of view, I would ask if your vote in November has any chance of tipping the Electoral College vote in your state?

I rather doubt Mine will in NY. But it's months away, and Hillary may yet kill and eat someone on stage. That might change the balance in New York. Might not.

Sure would be nice if Hillary didn't win the popular vote, even through it doesn't matter. There will be less pissing and moaning if Trump wins. Hillary is already on record as wanting to do away with the EC. But then, she can always say, if she doesn't win the popular vote, and still is elected, that she never said she was in favor of doing away with it. Her supporters will believe her. Or they won't care.

I've tried to figure out the electoral college, but it is too political for my dumb redneck brain to understand (why we need it). I even watched a segment by Bill Whittle on the electoral college. I just don't understand how one citizen, one vote, and the majority wins, is not a just system.

Because under straight democracy the only power would rest in the hands of the leaders of the big cities.

Essentially, today New York and California would chose the President, and the heck with what the other 48 states wanted.( or 11, back over 2 centuries ago, when it was Massachusetts & Virginia... 1750 )

Wanting some feedback from the countryside and not just a small number of cities, the Electoral College spreads the decision making process around in some proportion by population and tries to even that out. Not perfect, by any means, but far better than a straight popular vote.

The fact that Obama & Hillary don't like it is a good enough reason to prefer it IMHO. Dictators don't like restrictions on their power.
