I picked up a new (6 miles)2008 Uly two days ago. It runs and handles great, but there is one nagging problem. Often when downshifting my shoe lands on top of the shift lever as well as the rubber and prevents the lever from moving. A simple wire loop or some other type of guard would solve the problem. Does anyone know an aftermarket lever or other solution?} |

Congrats on the bike! I'm having a hard time picturing what the trouble is. If you're looking for different levers, try American Sportbike. |

I wonder if some good adjustable rearsets would help get the peg/lever relationship more to your liking? Or maybe I'm just not getting it. |

I had the same problem, the shifter just doesn't fall where my foot thinks it should. The solution is to just ride it, you will adjust very quickly. |

If the lever is too long, you can cut it to make it shorter. I cut an 1" off mine and then drilled a hole on the end. I then put a bolt through it with several nuts loc-tited to hold it together. It's harder to find neutral, but worth it to me. |
