WEll , last night i had a problem , and i think this is a big one, not really a expert on mechanics, but it does feel like mayor damage. hopefully not.
i was riding my blast on the free way between 65 to 75 mph, and i felt like the bike was failing. The sound of the gas going into the engine was not continue. After that all the sudden the bike shutted off and stopped working, and i have not been able to started ever since . i am going to try to take my bike to the mechanic today but i wanted to hear your guy's opinion

Blast is dirt simple--it must have spark, compression, and fuel.First, make sure you have fuel and petcock is in proper position, make sure gas tank is venting by opening gas cap. Pull plug and ground it against the motor as you try to start it,see if nice fat spark jumps across electrode,if it does put you finger over the spark plug hole and crank starter, should blow your finger off with compression.

Nine time out of 10 - this is an intake leak due to a cracked or torn intake manifold coupler - a.k.a. the carb "boot". Its rubber, and it's a $10 part.

Do you have the pro-series intake? Or anything other than the stock intake box?

well , i took the bike to the mechanic and he told me that the piston had exploded and crushed into the valves. he told me that to fix it ,it would be more expensive that what i paid for it .
so now i am trying to find a engine so i can replace it .
does anybody know where can i buy a used engine.
thanks

Pistons don't explode, it may look like they exploded though. Did this mechanic have any clue what the failure was that caused the problem? I've seen one with a broken valve guide that I helped haul off a freeway late one night, was there any indication in your engine of this? Hopefully your mechanic is good.

As to where to find an engine, look in the classifieds on the site here and then post a Wanted ad in the appropriate sub-section. Also post a request in your local Riders group to see if a local member has any leads. Sometimes a complete running bike can be found for less than just an engine in the used Buell market, for what it is.
