It all started after I bought the bike it was fine till one day I was out riding and I stoped some place to eat and it did not start. I let it cool for about 10min longer and it fired right up. rode it home and everything seemed fine. rode it a few more time with starting and stoping and starting again. Then it happened again this time it would not start at all, I picked it up with my truck and took it home let it sit over night and it started right up then i turned it off and would not start up. Only let it run for about 2 min or so. I dont feel that it was heat related and I dont think it is the coil never gave me problem when riding before. If any one can help it would be great

Does it turn over, but not fire or is the electric system dead?

I am not getting spark and I have not tested the coil, kickstand switch or any other devices, but thats the case turns over just fine and everything else seems to work like they should

Check the connector at the top of the coil for a secure connection. My M2 had that come loose.

Then I would check the side stand switch... just jumper the connector closed to test.

i had a similar problem, my cyclone was running fine then one day, it would'nt start, i kept turning the engine and all i got was backfire, then when it did start, i could'nt get it in gear due to the fact it would turn off. well, turned out to be the safety switch near the kick stand. by-passed it and was on my way. hope that works for you. good luck.

Thanks for posting the followup / resolution!

Was the coil itself dead, or just a bad connection somewhere?
