I have a 2003 firebolt xb9r. it has an aftermarket exhaust but not sure which design because i bought the bike with it on. when i ease the throttle[half throttle] the bike responds accordingly with full power. when i extend the throttle to full[wide open throttle] the bike bogs down and looses all its power. this problem happens in any weather/ bike condition, cold, hot, in any gear at any rpm. I am thinking that this is maybe an air fuel ratio problem or fuel delivery kind of problem. does this bike have a MAF sensor or is it a speed density system with a MAP sensor? Do i need to re-flash the computer because of the aftermarket exhaust? any ideas would be appreciated. thanx |

Ryan,
Try resetting the TPS, or Throttle Position sensor. You can use the search engine on here to find out more. Options include the dealer, a local badweber with a VDSTS, or you could buy your own from AmericanSportbike.com A search for TPS reset Minnesota may lead you to a local that's willing to help out. |
