I just purchased a 2002 Blast that has been sitting for a year and a half. I am looking for a site where I can read or see the parts of the carb that need to be cleaned. I opened the carb and bowl has junk in it.
Thanks

Service Manual is your best bet, and will pay foritself the first use . . . .

spooge in the carb can generally be found in the float bowl, and also clogging the jets -- get a small strand of SOFT wire, and run it through the jets to remove anything that might be in there -- better yet, remove the jets, and soak em in carb cleaner, THEN run the soft wire through em

wire has to be soft or you'll damage the jet -- remember, they're brass -- I used a plastic bristle from a hair brush -- worked aces, after the jets soaked overnight

I looked and saw that there are 2 jets. One primary jet (with an emulsion tube) and a second jet (recessed). I have cleaned each jet and body. I am wondering if there is a "starter" passage that gets clogged also (which might cause the cycle not to start) because the other 2 jets seem to be clear.
Thanks for the input.
Jim

UPDATE:
Pulled carb apart and soaked. Easy clean,
Drained old gas from tank (smelled bad). Cleaned the filter in tank. Charged the battery, and she started.
Rough but started.
Now off for a new spark plug and run it for a while and see if idle and smoothness comes around.
Thanks for you help.
Jim

good deal, Lucille!

sorry I couldn't be more specific about the Blast Carb internals -- no direct experience, and didn't want to lead you astray (I'm sure you're more than up to the task yourownself ;-} )
