I know this has been asked and tossed around like crazy, but does anyone know of a site with LED replacement bulbs that would fit in the stock turn signal housing and actually work? I know I will need something to equalize the flashers and I saw a replacement flasher unit on American Sportbike site.

American Sport Bike has experience ask Al he can help or check the archives here for led applications. Keep us up to date when you find something I'm interested for my 9R.

I may have found a site. Today, I bought an LED replacement brake light from someone who owned an XB9SX. He said it works very well and I tested it and must say it's as bright if not brighter than the stock bulb that was in here.

still running the original bulb with 15,600 miles. working fine, pack a 79 cent spare under the seat. kind of hard to beat the price. what is the advantage of the LED?

Replacement time is increased. Other than that I just think it would look cooler.

I think I've heard that the leds are supposed to be brighter. Maybe someone with some experience with both can let us know...

Depends on the LED's used. Cheap LED's aren't going to be as bright as the stocker. Like Coolice said, check with Al at American Sport Bike. He's got the good ones. Seen em!

On average LED's are brighter. I've got a hyper-lite kit on the tail of my Lightning. They go so bright with the brakes on that when I tried to take a picture they looked WHITE. I also noticed that when I was coming home last night that while I was sitting at stop lights without the brakes on cars wouldn't get closer than three feet from behind me.

I find the single stock tail light to be a bit weak for being seen at night. With the additions of LEDs I feel much safer I won't have to worry about anyone running into the back of me because my tailight blended in with the car in front of me.

I saw a replacement LED passing lamp for some Harleys the other day, so me thinks there should be a an aftermarket Buell kit by now.

Im having what is appearing to be a common LED problem. I recently put LED turn signals on all four corners. Problem is they light up but wont flash! Not to mention the buzzing coming from the flasher? any ideas?

You need the flasher unit that al at asb sells.
Makes up for the lower current draw or something technical like that.
