Soo i replaced my intake seals and tried to run my bike it just jumped to 2000+rpms then died so i did a tps reset and then it still did the same thing.
also when i had the motorcycle at 0% volt when in the middle of the tps i tried starting it and its almost ran good stayed inside of 1300 to 1000 rpm but then it died.
should i do a afv reset mine is at 100%
how do i reset the afv?
and i retired the tps like 6 times.
and the only error code coming up is my active muffler control but i believe that's from switching to a jardine exhaust from when i first got the bike like a year and a half ago.
btw i followed the xb buell tps reset on youtube from jeramy dearringer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i33__Qkvhn4}}

Also the buell is a 2006.
Before i did all this the bike ran great except occasionally the bike would jump up high rpms at red lights but from what all the buell posts said it was my intake seals going bad.
the bike only has 16000 miles on it so the person who had it before me had it sitting in their garage for a long time.

Did you perform a intake test before and after replacing the intake seals. The before test would have been more important for this situation. 100 is good. Think of 100 as perfect. Above 100 Ecm is adding fuel below 100 Ecm is removing fuel. The Ecm gets this info from the O2 sensor located on the rear cylinder exhaust pipe.

Also did you remove your plugs and inspect them. What was your AFV before you replaced intake seals. Are you confident that you replaced the intake seals properly. Easy to screw up. Are sure that you did the Tps reset correctly

I dont know what the intake test is so i would say i didn't perform one.
and no i haven't checked my spark plugs, i got some from Harley just forgot about them because my 4 intake seal bolts were such a pain to get on i forgot about them.
i had bought my ecm cable when i started to replace the seals so i dont know what the afv was before and i feel confident the seals were placed on correctly.
and i feel i did the tps right but this was my first tps reset on a motorcycle and either i messed something up or something else is wrong with my bike.
sorry about not being prepared Ive never had to do this much work on my other motorcycles.

You will need a swivel socket and a extension with seat and and air intake lower assembly off to get to the rear plug .Be extremely careful not to cross thread when putting back in. Ok TPS reset 06 Buell service manual states
1)back off Idle until TPS volts stop decreasing and then continue to back off one full turn.
2)open and snap shut throttle control grip 2_3 times ( this is to insure that throttle plate is completely closed before beginning recalibration
3)with ignition and run switch in on position with engine off press TPS Zero
Button.
4)turn idle adjustment cable 5deg to 6 deg
5)run until engine temp reaches 320deg then adjust idle to 1050-1150 rpm

Look on your throttle body there should be a little 1/8 evap hose fitting. This should be cap off with a black plug. If plug is missing get one at auto parts store. Without plug this is a vacuum leak

sorry about not replying sooner i just replaced my spark plugs but the tips on them look very good.
Also when i was doing the tps reset and got to the point to set the idle on the motorcycle it kept dying and eventually my battery died from trying to keep starting it up to bring the engine temp up.
but ill try and follow the new guide you have that specifically for my 06 uly.
and right now im going to look for that tiny evap hose because iv never noticed it.
thanks for helping gabby i used to have a guy at Harley who could help me but he retired and moved away and i cant find anyone else in San Diego to help

There is no evap hose. BUT There should be a small black cap/Plug covering/plugin it. Seen from up top with black rubber intake off.

Alright couldn't find the black cap thing but i looked all around and everything looked fully connected, i followed the guy on tps reset which he gave great instruction
once again though when i start the bike up after i turn the screw to 5'3 the motorcycle just jumps to 2000+ rpms and dies.
also i dont know why but my afv is actually at 115 not 100, thats my fault for messing that up.

If you don't see the little black cap then you must see a small 1/8 little 90 degree vac opening. Its pointing straight up. If you see it cap it. That would cause a vacuum leak and issues. For some reason I cant upload pic.

For some reason i cant upload image of 1/8 inch vac opening. This can be seen from looking down at throttle body its on the outside of the throttle body. If the cap is off this is a vacuum leak. You would see a 90 deg 1/8 brass 1/8 opening or the cap on it.Missing cap would cause issues

Hey gabby is this the hose your talking about? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/436052.html?1239457579

so i went down to the bike and saw that the hose used to run down to my carbon EPA canister but i had gotten rid of it and i had capped it off but my cap is missing
so i guess thats my problem right now so ill cap that off and try the tps reset again in the morning.
btw i had the EPA canister on when my bike was originally having its weird rpm problems that let me to change my intake seals in the first place.

Cam position sensor, I was thinking if your tps didn't take today it could be a bad tps or a CPS. Since you have new seals and leaks plugged

Question? When it stays at 2000rpm did you try using the idle/Tps adjuster to bring idle down to 1100 rpm to 1150 rpm
