2010 ULY dead in water,
key on all dash lights normal, red and yellow then yellow goes out, can hear fuel precharge, push START = nothing no dimming lights, nothing no clicks. If I switch off engine kill switch, then turn it back on WHILE pushing Start, I get under seat relay click and one starter solenoid click.
Sudden condition, no lead up-symptoms. I tried to do due diligence/research help myself: confirmed not engine ground, it doesn't seem I have a side stand switch to fail. Summer slipping away, help please.

Neutral switch or clutch lever switch!?
Is the neutral light on when in neutral?
Pull the clutch in and see if it starts.

Have you physically try to rotate and see if battery connections are tight? Also (car off) try jumping battery.

WOW, THANKS, you guys are tremendous!
Brother_in_buells:
With clutch in, it at least tries to crank, but not quiet, most promising sign so far.
Gabby_duck:
The MC battery is now dead and removed, I tried jumping, (new big battery in car, but car off) decent jumper cables to MC BATTERY LEADS ONLY, no mc battery installed at the moment, tries but doesn't quite a turnover.
I'll install a MC battery first thing tomorrow.
THANKS again for your time attention and willingnes to help out a brother-in-need.

No question is dumb! Are you in neutral? Brother in buell ask if green neutral light is on. Also reason for car being off is you Don't want to fry voltage regulator

What Gabby_duck said ,there is no question asked to much!
There is lots of information and helpful people on this forum.

You try a different battery or known good battery first to see if other things fix after that.

If you go the LI battery route, buy an LI battery tender too.

And LI batteries do not like to be off the tender or a running bike.

LI battery is very finicky. Personally, I would stay with the AGM battery.

I have the mentioned tender but my battery is Li phosphate it has been great actually the battery instructions state that a regular batt tender is fine.

Got ULY started all is well. Quick follow up question:
Discovered Green N light not lit in N, before Start, is in N,
then it started to glow, getting brighter eventually, ~ 15 in running, reaching ~ normal.
Thoughts?
Where is that N indicator switch located?

BTW, bike sat ~ 2 years due to this failure, I drained fuel via fuel pump bolt, before start-up, avoided dreaded ethanol scum.. runs perfectly!

BTW has anyone seen/tried the YouTube ethanol REMOVAL process? seems cool, opinions, re: seasonal storage?

You guys are tremendous, great to be part of such a cool group.
Thanks again.

I run Amsoil gas stabilizer in all my power equipment. If you use Stabil, use the marine blend.

Neutral switch is behind the front pulley.
About that switch ,lot of bikes have the switch quit working.
It's a known issue.

My 04 12s has it for ten years now.
I always have to pull the clutch lever and it starts fine!
It never bothered me to have no neutral light.

@ Brother_in_buells et-al, THANKS
As a result of you guys helping out, (playing it forward) I sought out BRAN to offer my resources for Buells in transit/visiting Seacoast NH.

I am OK with: have to pull the clutch lever to start and no neutral light,
I look forward to saying:
'has it for ten years now.' ... no problem-0

>> side question: looking for source for
>> R side plate that holds pass foot peg, since pass peg broke off mounting tab.
What is easiest, way to get this part? (time window not important)

Amusing side note: about 2+ cups(20+) 'mouse poison' balls, about 1/2" dia ea, have come shooting out of the muffler during run-up. Seems they didn't eat it and die, they were storing it up for what would have been their LAST Winter...

Regarding your question about "R side plate that holds pass foot get,..."

Both left and right are called rear sets. So it sounds like you will need the following...
o right rear set
o right passenger foot peg

Do you have a parts manual for your bike? You'll need the numbers to find an HD dealer/BadWeb classifieds/ebay to find a seller. Some HD dealers still have Buell Parts Manuals. Maybe go to your nearest dealer and find out.

About the broke right side plate ,post a wanted ad in the classified section and keep an eye on the for sale section.
Also keep looking on *bay

Or have it welded at a known good welding shop ,i have had some parts welded through the years at a alloy welding shop in my area.
If they know what they do and are serious with work ,then they can repair it easy for you!
