Well I've been looking for a while now and I'm still not sure what is good out there. I drive my 06 uly to school all highway and around on my free time. I've heard rumors that dunlop ended the 616 and pirelli ended the sync. Is this true? If so what else is good? Has anyone tried the pirelli scorpion trail 1 or 2?

The Sync was discontinued in favor of the Trail. If you liked the Syncs, you will like the Trails. I never tried the Trail #2 as that is the new replacement for the regular Trail, but I imagine it is just as good.

Thanks Froggy. Does the regular trail handle offroad well? It seems like I could tackle the same stuff with a pilot road 3.

Blake, I've done some fairly hairy small dirt roading with the Trail 2's and they've handled everything I've asked of them. So yeah, unless you're rock hopping or mud bogging they're pretty decent.

Loving my Avon Trailriders so far, not enough off road for a definitive dirt review, but I like what I've experienced so far. Better than the syncs and so far seem to be wearing well. Considering I tend to take the Uly places it was never designed to go, take that as high praise.
