I have spent the better part of today taking apart my bike in the hopes that the non start problem I have with my bike was/is due to the a dirty carburetor.

No such luck-- it is pristine. The previous owner took great care as it was his wife's starter bike..

Its been cleaned, battery changed, all filters changed, all levels are fine, rechecked the new spark plug I installed thinking that was the original problem..

I can't think of anything else to do as far as maintenance is concerned-- I went through the Buell checklist and I believe I did everything.

Help!

Check and confirm that you have spark. If so, hook up a small gasoline IV bottle straight to the carb fuel line fitting, and try again. Or, take off what is necessary so you can spray raw fuel into the intake from a spray bottle, like an empty Windex bottle while turning the engine over. If you have spark and sprayed fuel or the IV bottle gets the engine to 'hit', then the problem is fuel/fuel tank/fuel shut off/fuel line.

Hope this helps, Dave

OK, my bad. Sometimes I can be really dense. Pull the air cleaner, get a can of starting fluid, and spray that into the carb while turning the engine over. If it starts and runs, even if only for a few seconds, then ignition, compression, spark timing, ect are good enough for troubleshooting. May dirty up your new spark plug, though.

If it does run, then the fuel issues. Basically, is fuel getting to the carb, then to the intake. Don't forget to check for air leaks between the carb and the cyl head.

Sounds like a No Spark condition. To see if there is spark energy at the spark plug, lay the plug on the engine with the plug connected to the plug wire and then hit the start button. You should be able to see a visible spark.

If no spark then check the plug wire or ignition module or wires going to the key switch.
