Is it possible to put a tuber style stator and regulator on an XB12R??

I don't think so the XR1200 motor uses "universal" type stator DS-195224 and the XB motors use a Buell specific 29971-02YA.

It should be doable, I've seen people swap XB charging systems into the tubers to get more output, but I've never seen it go the other way around.

Also, which year XB? The 03-07 models use a 3 phase system, 08-10 used a lower output single phase system.

It's a matter of price and availability. It's for an 05 XB12R, and it seems like they should bolt up, and as long as he uses matching stator and rectifier, it should work just fine, I would think... He says the 3 phase stuff is out of his price range at this point, and wants to keep riding through the summer... Thanks for the input, I always appreciate it :-)

I believe you will also have to swap the part that holds the magnets, so don't forget that.
