I bought a crashed firebolt and instead of parting it out I put the engine in a rolling thunder soft ail frame. I keep all the wiring harness and fuel injection. I'm trying to start the engine all I here is the relays go on. Fuel pump tried to work a few times than quit will not turn over and if I jump out the starter with key on no spark. I also tied the kick stand switch wires together. Can it be the tip over switch . I'm new to fuel injection but been around old school bikes a long time. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

Could be, it's called the bank angle sensor. I know my 07 XB12X has one, it gets mounted up in the tail section. I'm pretty sure it is just a switch effectively (ball bearing rolling over contacts in sealed chamber).

The whole sensor is about the size of a thumb.

I don't know if it is normally on or normally off.

Some time ago, a member here posted about "majorly relocating" electrical stuff under the seat, and then his bike oouldn't start. I suggested the bank angle sensor might be the culprit, and he should be sure that it was mounted properly in respect to up/down. He reported back that that was the problem, so that might be the situation here.

Hope this helps, Dave

ECMspy and an interface cable are normally pretty important tools to have for a fuel injected Buell. In your case with a crashed bike everything swapped it is even more important. You can disable the BAS with it should it be the issue, and it will give you the ability to dig into the ECM to see where the problem lies.

It may well be something damaged in the crash, like internal damage to the ECM or wiring harness causing the issues.
