Hello, I have recently noticed problems with my XB9s sputtering when trying to accelerate at higher rpms. Right around 3500+. I have noticed that my fan isn't running while the bikes runs and only turns on after I shut down the bike. Could it be a faulty Engine heat sensor causing the bike to overheat and cause sputtering when put through more demanding circumstances. Please let me know your thoughts or if you've had a similar problem and had it fixed, Thanks!

I just came back from a 2300 mile ride from Chicago to New Orleans and back. I have a xb9s with about 13,200 miles. I noticed the same with mine especially riding through 110 degree weather.

However, my check engine light turned and returned Code 13 - faulty o2 sensor. The symptoms of the o2 sensory is sputtering, backfire, ect. I have a race ecm, k&n filter with jardine exhaust.

The service manual lists about 13 things that could cause sputtering as well.

O2 sensor wouldn't effect fan ops.
