I just last week put a set of Pirelli Angel ST's on my "02" S3. I really liked the grip the Diablo's had and I had a good ride with the MT 66's I had on my Marauder I'm not a really aggressive rider, but will ride until the frost is in. Long term results to follow...much later.

Rear tire was replaced in August of this year. 8000 miles of riding. The center tread was thin, but the cords started to show about 3/4 of the way to the left tread edge. (Apparently I ride more aggressively than I thought.) Every morning there is a left hand turn onto the freeway entrance, and that's where I suspect I scrubbed off most the tread by twisting the right grip a little farther than is required for a simple merge.
As noted above, I liked the predictable decline in grip as it wore, but at the end the tread disappeared fast. I liked it enough to replace it with another one. I'll probably need a front sometime this season.
