I have a 03 xb 9r. I just re ran all of the wires. I put the Ecm, both fuse boxes the aux plug and the bank angle sensor in the tail of the bike. Everything turns on on the bike. But the bike won't turn over. I pulled the plug and there was no spark. So I checked the ignition coil and it was unplugged from when I re ran the wires through the frame so i plugged that back but still no luck. No spark. I checked the ignition to make sure it is getting power and it is. I don't know what to do next. The bank angle sensor is upright as well. I first thought that, that was the problem. So frustrating. I just want to ride. Any input is grateful!

I have M2's but you say the bike won't turn over. You must mean it does not fire? Do you have all the grounds done properly? Also do you have power to the coil? Maybe work back from there. Do you have no spark on both plugs? Keep us informed.

If the coil has power, the issue is between the negative terminal of the coil and the cam position sensor. Perhaps a connector, perhaps the module itself, but most likely the cam position sensor. Do you have ECMSpy and a cable? The bank angle sensor has a moving part and an internal electrical contact which has been known to fail. It will throw a code if it's the issue.

I have only checked the front spark plug because the rear is such a pain to get to. I figured the bike will still start on one cylinder if I have the other plug out. But since there was no spark on the front plug, I assumed there is none on the rear plug. There is power to the coil. It reads 11 on my multimeter. Would it still get power if it wasn't grounded right?

I do not have ECMspy. I wish I did. I took the actual bank angle sensor off (just unplugged it) and there was no difference in the way the bike would sound trying to start. Could it be a bad coil? I checked the wires to the plugs and the coil and they are on there. And the coil is getting 11v. I had the biking running just fine a month ago before I re wired. So my assumption is that it is something with my wiring. But I am confused b/c the coil is still getting power.

Update- I ran the codes on my bike and I got 11- TPS, 15- Airbox sensor, 16- Battery Voltage, 44- BAS and 53- ECM ROM.

So I am going to take the ECM to the dealer tomorrow to have them test it to see if it is bad. B/c I figure that all of these problems would originate at the ECM. Correct me if I'm wrong?
