starts and runs till warm then dies have to turn key off then on to start an will run for couple seconds then die again. has no spark when not starting , circut breaker is ok bike is carburated

I'd check the coil next... I forget, did the M2 have a side stand safety switch?

The M2's did have the side stand switch but holding in the clutch would bypass it till you let the clutch out. Also the wires to the coil just push on so they could be loose. I have had that happen. See if they are tight and pushed on all the way. If loose give them a little crimp and push them back on. Good luck and let us know what you find. OH the coil idea sounds good it may be opening up when it gets warm. Test cold then after it quits.

My M2 had the coil wire pop off once, FWIW.

thanx for ideas dont think has stand switch as would start on stand, will check coils -NB rev counter goes up and down but revs stay same could this cause electrics to trip. is turning key off an on a 'reset button' (posted twice as can work motors better than computers)

Sounds electrical... maybe remove, clean, and reassemble major grounding points on bike and battery.
