Hello,

I recently wrecked my 05 lightning scg. among other parts the instument cluster housing and one of the needles was damaged, however the gauges themselves seem to be in working order. they still do the sweep check when the ignition is turned on, odo still has milage, etc.

i picked up a used instument cluster, but i would like to swap the gauges from mine to the new (used) housing so the odo is accurate. so my question is this, how do i get the needles off the gauges without breaking them? the shop manual doesnt seem to have any of info that is helpful in this regard.

Thanks!

You can follow a guide here that will show most of what you want to do:
http://www.pdgmoto.com/pdg_install.html

From the sound of it, you should be able to transfer the guts of the damaged cluster into the new housing and then swap the needles.
