I'm building using a XB12 Buell engine for a flat tracker it's cheaper then building an XR750 HD. I'll race it in the super senior class here in Ohio. Thats 60 years old and older.
I bought a 2006 XB12 Buell engine at a reasonable price.
Am now fitting it into an flat track frame That I have .
What I would like to know is what do the engine numbes tell me about the engine.
Here are the numbers TJX037600B or TJXD37600B left off the last two numbers for privacy. If anyone can help with the any information about these no.s and what they mean. It would be very helpful to me. Thank you

do the numbers match your vin on the frame?

i always thought there was a vin on the frame and a vin on the engine? i never really paid any attention to them.
