I have a 2000 x1 and the check engine light came on. It is acting like it is only running on one cylinder sometimes. I was just wondering what things could cause the light to come on. Thanks

You need to check the trouble codes. Just short pins one and two of the diagnostic connector and turn the bike on. After the rapids flash the next flashes will be the two digit code for historic faults. A manual is a great help here.

Mine seems to be doing the same thing. I'm going to check the engine codes today. Meanwhile, it looks like the battery is a bit weak so I'm charging it up as well.
